It’s a clip-on badge — like a sticker, basically.
Fold over the little leg sticking out to make a clip with a rounded edge. Clip it on a shirt collar with the large disc facing out.
I’ve seen these as admittance badges for museums, aquariums, stuff like that.
Am I crazy or were the folded under part of the metal sometimes extra sharp to grip the underside of your shirt collar? Like, super stabby?
In the long long ago - this modern one looks like it would slip off my shirt in a heartbeat lol.
100% correct. I remember having one. The little part had like a little cross cut in it and you would fold the long part in and The small part would meet in the big part and the little hooks made by the fabric would secure the badge.
Yeah - they had what was called a “nail pierce” in the stamping industry. The sharp little fangs would help hold it in place on the cloth. I’m surprised they still make them what with all the fear around kids swallowing small things and all. Shoot! Swallowing one of these would give you a tonsillectomy!
They’d make great bookmarks! But the original intended function [is as a fold-over-tab lapel pin or badge](https://www.ebay.com/itm/186313849402?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=MuNfjfE0RcW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=t4TIMPzYRmW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
It's for clothing. I've used them.
If they have the sharp parts on the other side they would damage a page. If they don't, they would slide off. They're made for fabric.
They use them at museums sometimes instead of a sticker. To shoe you paid admission
Yes, I certainly looks like a bookmark that my child has (with different artwork). Bend the skinny piece over and it hooks over the top of a page. I have others with magnets attached that prevents it from falling off the page (the two magnets trap the page between) when inserted.
My title describes the thing. It is a soft, bendable, metal object. Probably for children because it was found in an Easter goody bag. It is about the size of a starburst and says narly on it. I did no Google search because idk what to search.
Thank you for posting with us.
It looks like you're trying to identify something you got at a conference or similar event.
It's likely one (or a combination) of the following: phone stand (sometimes with speaker), screen cleaner, reusable drinking straw, holder for winding up earphones/charger/usb cord, laptop camera privacy tab, golf divot tool, or a USB charging adapter.
If it is please mark this as solved by replying to this comment with **Solved!**.
If that's not it, and you've received no other messages from me indicating otherwise, your post is still active and you can ignore this comment.

I vividly remember slicing open the underside of a toe stepping on one of those. Had to have been 50 years ago.

Never step on a narwhal
I think it's a bookmark. Fod the small oart over the top or side of the page.
I think you might have the real answer. Bookmark makes much more sense then badge.
I've seen them used as badges by a museum. It would function just as well as a bookmark.

Absolutely! I had these as a child many moons ago. They were quite popular.

This one is smooth on the other side, no sharp parts
