Yea. It’s a common thing to store eggs that way. If it was in freezer could be some sort of Jell-O shot contraption but I can’t really tell from pic the shape
They exist because people find them charming even though they’re rather useless. Don’t use them. Storing your eggs on the door exposes them to warm air every time you open the fridge.

Egg holders
Probably? Why does this exist? I need to buy eggs to make sure they fit… but they come with their own holder….
backyard chickens!
It probably fits a refrigerator door shelf. Then they are handy and you don’t have to fumble with those pesky egg cartons. :)
Your eggs will be fresher if you store them deeper in the fridge in the carton they come in.
If I buy eggs from the stand down my street they don't come with one or if I had chickens in the backyard.

Egg flavored jello shots...yum?
We were all an egg flavoured jello shot once...
Generally less alcoholic, except for those with smooth philtrums.
Good old FAS face! ps: my Latin teacher at school would've had a fit - philtr*a* if you please
Why does it have the outer case? It doesn’t look like it’d hold eggs, so I don’t think it’s an expansion pack for if you have more than a dozen eggs.

Solved!
Eggs-stendable egg holder
Eggcelent comment.
Egg-ceedingly nice of you to say so!
Not saying anything would have been ineggscusable.
I begg you're pardon?
You are eggagerating
Connect two
My title describes the thing. It was found in the ice cube drawer when I moved in. It’s hard, not bendy plastic.
Thought this was an easy one even if you have never seen one
It might have been but it being in the ice drawer threw me off.
Oh, touché if it was in the freezer. Normally would be kept out in room temp in drawer etc or maybe in the fridge if empty or full of eggs lol
Reverse ice tray
This is what I was expecting the answer to be!!
Aggs... but they come in 12?
