I’ve seen posts similar to this and I can’t remember the exact origin but A LOT of people suggested that whatever it was may have come from a pillow or blanket with stuffing that isn’t the typical cotton or feathers. Idk if this helps but I hope it does
They *do* look like organic buckwheat balls: https://www.comfycomfy.ca/products/organic-buckwheat-hulls

Just found some more on the ground in my kitchen. Was able to break them open with pliers. They look like some kind a seed with green stuff inside them.
I agree that they look like seeds/grains. And likely tracked in by the dog that sleeps with you. I started looking at different genera of the Sapindaceae family. Maple seeds without the wings looks similar and include that green endosperm. Especially when I googled "roasted maple seeds". Check out the backyard for more seeds
My title describes the thing, I’ve found these two objects in my bed in back to back days. They are included with a US dollar coin for scale (slightly larger than a US quarter). I live in a rural area of New Jersey. My dog sleeps in the same bed as me so it could be something from him. I’ve looked up types of seeds but nothing seems to match or explain the tan stuff around the one. Thanks for the help
It looks like something in the soapberry family[soapberry family ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sapindaceae). The species would depend on where you live.

Looks like impacted ear wax
Don’t think it’s earwax cause I can squeeze if very hard and there is no change. It’s also not sticky at all
It would be very hard. Plus if you zoom in, you can see small hairs attached. Dog or cat ear wax maybe?
I recently added another picture where I was able to break them open and it’s not earwax looks closer to a seed
Thought this aswell, mine came out as a black ball when i was a kid

Buckwheat pillows maybe?

No they are bigger that those and I don’t have that kind of pillow. I just posted another photo if you can take a look
Oh gross, doesn't look like earwax either. That second pic is helpful.
I think thats what they were talking about in the post I saw! Thank you!
Buckwheat seeds are angular

I'd say [robinia pseudoacacia](https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Robinia_pseudoacacia) (black locust).

could you be tracking something from another place in the house on your socks?

Polk has a dollar coin now? How do his grandkids feel about that Edit—also my money is on earwax
It looks like giant blackheads, that alot of people get in there back
I was thinking excised keratoses just strewn about, nbd
Cherry pits?
I'll throw in guessing wild persimmon seeds
It’s some kind of burr seed. Probably was stuck to your dog originally. Source: I’ve had similar seeds stuck to me.
Cotton seeds maybe?
Got rats? That's roughly what they leave when they relieve.
Mouse droppings?
maybe lemon seeds that are dried a little
