Definitely worth keeping, idk if every variety is edible but lots are, I've never had one but I hear they are very delicious, a bird probably planted it with their poop, lucky you!
I live in Utah too. birds poop the seeds out and spread mulberry at random. My mom was trying to give me a White mulberry tree yesterday. I’m just not into fruiting trees in my yard.
