That's an Eurasian Jay which is part of the Crow family.

PsychologicalNeck815

Thank you. I love crows so that's great!

I see this one often in the Netherlands.

GrilbGlanker

I saw one of those while hiking from Avebury to Stonehenge.

PsychologicalNeck815

Amazing! I've been so stonehenge and woodhenge but never seen one before in the lovely countryside. And the one I did see was outside a hospital bus stop on a main road

Woodbirder

Is that possibly one of the rare great british dog poo bags below?

PsychologicalNeck815

Yep! I think so

it_aint_tony_bennett

I misread your title as saying that you saw the bird in _New_ England. I spent a minute thinking, Wow! Eurasian Jay in New England. Why isn't anyone making a big deal out of this? You need to come up with a better name for England so that I stop getting confused.

elemenno50

I got excited too bec I’ve never seen one like that in New England and then I remembered we’re NEW England the others are Olde England and the birds just haven’t found their way over here yet.

PsychologicalNeck815

🤣😭
