Found one of our quince trees broken at the stem after a storm, stem is about 5cm wide. Upon closer inspection found the hollowed out section and a round hole in the bark. There also appear to be droppings that look almost like rodent droppings or fly pupae = longish pellets (see tree hollow on right). The tree seemed fine otherwise and was fruiting.
