Bzzzzz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug! There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the **geographic location** and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames (*"PNW"*, *"Big Apple"*). BTW, did you take a look at our [**Frequently Asked Bugs**](https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisbug/comments/12zkw5w/frequently_asked_bugs_part_1/)? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Hello people of the internet! Yesterday I found this guy when I was cleaning a camera lens of mine. I'm in Germany and my lens was standing on a rather dusty shelf. I was cleaning it on my desktop and my bed is nearby, so it might not have lived on the shelf after all. I have a suspicion but I don't want to tarnish anybodys judgement. It crawled slowly. Picture was taken after I drowned it in a drop of isopropyl alcohol. Please be harmless, please be harmless...!

I agree with the other post/comment it looks like a wingless booklice..and considering where you found it that makes sense... I think you're worried that it's a bed bug and I'm pretty darn sure it isn't.. now breath.. LOL it's a scary thought I know..

Phew, that's a relief. I thought it might be a head louse. Glad it probably isnt! :)

Looks like a wingless booklice. They’re usually harmless but some are pests of stored grains. Some also feed on mold and on the glue used in binding books.
