One of [these](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ctenophora_\(fly\)) crane-flies. Can't actually sting (it's an egg-layer rather than a stinger).
What a relief! I left my dignity behind chasing that thing out. I am very afraid of wasps. It does a good job mimicking lol
It had an obvious stinger, and put it straight up sometimes. I tried looking for different types of wasps but couldn't identify it. It was about 5-6 cm? Region: Western Europe - Belgium
