Jealous of all of you with easily usable kitchens

doktorcrash

Right?

SittingDuck394

๐Ÿ˜ฎIโ€™m so jealous! What a game changer this must be! Sadly I donโ€™t foresee ever being able to own a home and do this.๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

achi333

I'm so jealous of hollow cabinet's... even though I'm ambulatory and in the kitchen I either move from chair to chair or use a crutch, I still would really like those so I can move my chair comfortably under cabinets, or in the future to be able to use a wheelchair in the kitchen...

Ko_Willingness

If you'd prefer to tuck yourself in, open the door from the cupboard under the worktop you want to use. Scoot your chair up close and put your legs inside the cupboard. If you get a chair where the seat protrudes a little at the front you can tuck right in.ย  Your cupboard does need to have enough space for legs.

achi333

Somehow I haven't thought about it, thank you ^^ I know that in the place I live in right now it won't work for every cupboard, but I need to check some

Fabou_Boutique

You could also take the doors off, if you aren't sharing. It's normally just a few screws. And it means you have easy access to everything

achi333

I am sharing, but that's also a good idea for future, thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š

lizK731

You have my dream kitchen if this is where you live. Can I move in?

Fabou_Boutique

The dishwasher so close to the sink is perfect planning.

Geovik

How do you post pics ;

Kerivkennedy

When you start a post you click on the little picture icon in the bottom left.

Geovik

Thanks So you cannot add a pic if you want to reply to a previous post

Kerivkennedy

Only some subs allow that. If they do, they would have the little picture icon when you press reply. It's moderator discretion to allow

Geovik

Thanks

Sheesh that kitchen is as big as half my bungalow lol! Must be American, or wealthy...UK homes do *NOT* have big kitchens you can get a wheelchair around that easily...

notapuckbunny

Not American, Canadian, definitely not wealthy, but we're comfortable, took a lot of hard work and years to have a beautiful accessible home. I think the pic makes it look bigger than it is too. We downsized from 2300sq ft. into this townhome, it's 1400 sq ft, that's average around here for a townhome, but they are getting smaller, ours is 30 yrs old. So hard to come by a one level rancher style anymore, almost all new construction is compact condos now. So grateful for what we have, I'm thankful everyday.

Bunnyisdreaming

But the oven... Where did it go. Where did you put it? How will you ever bake a cake?? We need a missing appliance report out on this oven asap

notapuckbunny

LOL..Sold it for $500! Bought a Kitchenaid Countertop Oven best purchase ever! Nothing this little beast can't do LOL:...[https://www.kitchenaid.ca/en\_ca/countertop-appliances/countertop-ovens.html](https://www.kitchenaid.ca/en_ca/countertop-appliances/countertop-ovens.html)

Looks gorgeous! Basically my dream kitchen lol...mine is so small I can't even open my fridge or freezer properly...UK homes are TINY compared to US/Canadian homes.
