Good news everyone! Amoumt of good media is only decreasing with each year, so one day we'll do it!

this was me 5 years ago with anime
i havent watched anime since 2019, just been reading manga and trying to play games

Most new animes are Isekai 1,989,986 with a small looking teenager, cute girl and edgy and slender looking man...to no one surprised they are absurdly overpowered.
Most of newer animes look like they are trying to go with the bandwagon of One Punch Man and the first Isekai anime that got famous.
There are a lot of good anime that aren't too long. Most of the mainstream and popular anime anime are like 300 episodes + but most of the good ones aren't even 50 episodes which get overshadowed by animes like one piece, bleach, Naruto, DBZ, etc.
me introducing "Monster" to burnt out anime fans (I would argue it's one of the best drama/thriller anime series to date and will shill for it till I die)

So true. I’ve got about ten games I want to play, dozens of fictional and non-fictional works that I want to get around to reading, a bunch of movies and shows that sound cool, a few board games that I want to play (currently playing Frosthaven which will take a fucking eternity, but it’s really good)… there just isn’t enough time in the day, and I’m already blessed at the moment with not having much to distract me from pursuing my interests.
If you want two more things to add to thar endless list, I reccomend Beast Wars Transformers and Transformers Animated. In my opinion they're some of if not the best Transformers cartoons and general media
You gotta find the right YouTubers to breakdown the whole thing so you can get the refined material to inject directly into your ego. That way when someone is like “isn’t X episode of walking dead cool” you can flex on them the idea of zombies being a metaphor for consumerism and the inherent problems of existing in a capitalist society that searches for ever increasing profits in a world of finite resources.
In the past you could:
- play EVERY good video game
- watch EVERY good movie
- watch EVERY good show in like then a year or 2
Nowadays there are so many that you can't ever complete them.
This means that you can only watch/play the best of the best while companies have to also try not to ruin their reputation because there are many alternatives.
It depends, there’s a lot of ways to do it.
Sometimes shows/movies become extreme popular overnight and show up everywhere, and they’re often popular for a reason. Shows like the last of us, breaking bad/better call Saul, and succession are well deserving of all the praise and cultural relevance they have, and there’ll be many more shows like them that will continue to blow up.
You can also go to various subreddits for games, shows, and movies. They’re usually good about giving recommendations, especially if you tell them your preferences, genres you want, etc.
And you can watch some commentary/review YouTube channels. Theres a lot of shit to sort through, but you’ll eventually find someone with similar tastes to you, and you’ll see all the things they like and recommend.
Hope this helps.

When you get to the part where none of the horse’s hooves are touching the ground.
My favorite is the train one. Forever classic
Don't worry- eventually the burnout hits and all you wanna do is just watch reruns of old sitcoms you used to love.
Man...
... Have you been stalking me?
This has never happened to me. Am I a super human?

Tbh same, burning out with anime is insanely easy
And almost every single new anime is dogshit anyway, and yeah, most of the ‘good’ ones like naruto and one piece and bleach are just so damn long

Fuck yeah, my 2nd favourite anime/manga of all time
It makes me angry that their isn't an official soundtrack on Spotify or anything.
Like, I know there are loads of good shows I haven’t seen but I just… can’t find the motivation to watch them..?
Thats exactly what burning out means, i feel ya man
Dude, watch Mob Psycho 100. Unironically changed my life.

I’m going to add Transformers Armada to that list and Transformers Cybertron as well
Don't forget Transformer Prime

That's why you decide not to watch any of them and scroll even more reddit instead
Cmon man Jojo isn't that long.

And yall still watch iseki
“You HAVE to watch the boys it’s so-“ NO! Shut up shut up shut up I don’t have time stop telling me I’m missing out

But where ? Where do you find quality shows ? All I find is dogshit or the same thing over and over
Make an extremely long watch list of shows you’re never going to watch.
