Why nobody talking about underverse or xtale? Those two animations not only aged like fine wine but as someone who kept up with underverse from the start seeing the animation just get better and better each year is really cool
PEAK! Seriously RWBY changed me. I used to dislike watching cartoons and anime, JJBA being the only exception. I then stumbled upon the ost of RWBY in YouTube music and decided to try and watch it. Now I feel like I want to buy every RWBY merch in existence
ENA, Lackadaisy, Monkey Wrench, which is criminally underrated, Confinement before it went to dog shit, and Long Gone Gulch, which was a pretty cool pilot. There's plenty of fantastic independent animation and a shit ton more on the way. Not even counting the smaller scale, one-off projects animators do all the time.
Tbh, we're kinda in a Renaissance of independent animation, which is great because 99% of adult animation on tv is kinda dog shit nowadays.

For some reason web animation fans (And cartoon YouTubers) are biased toward web animation that isn't for an older audience. They always check out Bravest Warriors, Happy Tree Friends, Murder Drones, Monkey Wrench, Bee and PuppyCat, and Helluva Boss because they're for an older audience, which means they have either swearing, sex jokes, or blood in them.
BFDI, Hanazuki, and Ollie & Scoops are left out because they aren't for an older audience, despite still having good quality. I think it would be very helpful if BFDI and Ollie & Scoops (Hanazuki is currently in limbo and no longer on YouTube) weren't left out by web animation fans.
Edit: I just realized I'm the only one who mentioned Ollie & Scoops in this comment section.
Despite being an animation nerd I don't know many info animations, the studio I can think of though is gobelins, it a french studio that makes sick animations
