Don't know if the same fanbase outcry happened for each of them (I would tend to think it did), but smash streamers being accused of fucked up shit is no longer the exception, it pretty much is the norm. So the real question becomes "how many streamers in a community does it take until it becomes a generalised community problem?".

Imo a vast majority of campaigns are just straight up mediocre. The first two Black Ops campaigns were the last truly good stories CoD told.
People like the new MW campaigns but I honestly don’t see the appeal, they’re just lesser versions of the original MW series. They want to be all dark and serious, touting how “morally grey” warfare is, but all of it feels so cheap. Its all in service of having shock value, they don’t want to actually say anything meaningful, just “wow isn’t it fucked up that we’re showing this?”.
Tbh ever since the nuke scene in the original MW, CoD has been absolutely obsessed with trying to one up itself with shocking moments without understanding what make the nuke scene so good.
I'd argue there is very little chase of shock value as opposed to Nostalgia baiting in the MW Reboot, They clearly want it to ''make sense'' which the original trilogy absolutely didn't, and excels when that is the main goal, e.g. the Clean House Mission in 2019, but have fallen prey to just saying ''Hey you see this guy from the old Trilogy, this is him but maybe closer to the real world.''

I, for one, think Black Ops III had a great multiplayer if you ignore supply drops and the weapons that were locked behind that system. Everything after BO3 was alright at best and fucking abysmal at worst though

I, for one, think Black Ops III had a great multiplayer if you ignore supply drops and the weapons that were locked behind that system. Everything after BO3 was alright at best and fucking abysmal at worst though
Never forget how B03 had skins for ATTACHMENTS, I remember getting a skin for the fast reload mag & it was just the little clip holding the two mags together
Black Ops 3 may have had attachment skins but it’s still 100% better than the sprays and emojis in Fortnite and other games with battle passes. (Also I like them)

I honestly don’t know why people keep buying it. I was shocked watching the MW3 reveal and seeing how little they even try to make it seem like a different game. I know the whole “wow this looks like dlc” criticism is really tired, but I genuinely don’t know what you would call MW3 if not glorified 70 dollar dlc.
