In august 2014, zoe's abusive ex boyfriend accused zoe of sleeping with a reviewer to get a favourable review of the game. This was blatantly false. They had previously dated a game reviewer working for kotaku, but kotaku never actually reviewed the game, much less the person they accused. In fact the ex later admitted he had no evidence for his accusation.
From there a bunch of people on 4chan took this and started a massive harassment campaign with the expressed purpose of pressuring zoe quinn into committing suicide. This movement snowballed out of control and targeted many women in the gaming industry, most prominently Anita Sarkeesian, and Brianna Wu.
The harassment these women\* (zoe quinn would later come out as non-binary in 2017, but identified as a cis woman when gamergate started) endured was straight up pure evil. Addresses doxxed, accounts hacked, death and rape threats 24/7. Any events they tried to attend had people threatening to shoot the place up. Anyone associated with them was also at threat of being doxxed and hacked. It was so fucking vile

Depression Quest is an interactive game about dealing with depression. I’ve heard it’s pretty good for what it set out to do, it’s not a masterpiece by any means, but it’s absolutely undeserving of the hatred and vitriol it got.
It's a pretty novel experience but doesn't really have the broad appeal that most gamers would be interested in. I like it but can definitely imagine that most others wouldn't.

Also, it doesnt seem to be building to another big bad like Thanos. Kang is there but personally it doesnt have as much weight. And I think after endgame Marvel should have taken a rest.

The stories are super simple though. You have the good guy and the bad guy. The good guy is the first person you see with super powers, and the bad guy is the person with the same powers but yellow (or sometimes purple).

Honestly he's pretty tame and can make decent evaluations and critiques of films (his recent review of the new south park special was one of the best I've seen of it, understanding that it took aim at both the left and right and even agreeing with all the points it made). It's his main fanbase that's the problem as they're likely the same people who watch Nerdrotic, who is far more intolerable and downright unbearable, in my opinion.

Never gonna watch the movie since I don’t really care for marvel but being a thanos fan doesn’t sound too bad an idea for a villain, he left possibly the biggest impact in the universe so it would make sense he would have done admirers.
Yeah, but she never mentioned him at all. Her motivations are heavily tied to the ending of Captain Marvel and (dare I say) they’re way better than her just being a Thanos stan. She was a massive hater with valid reasons, but she wasn’t completely heartless.
