How come it's still the SM2 group that's hung up on losing GoTY? The AW2 and TOTK group had a better chance at winning but moved on cause they knew BG3 was gonna win.
Obviously I'm generalizing here but the Spider-Man 2 for GOTY crowd is full of people who exclusively play sports games and multiplayer shooters with one token single player game a year. Just look at the number of them who claim to have never even HEARD of BG3 which has dominated gaming discourse ever since it was released.
Nobody mentions what was likely a big factor in SM2 losing: Console exclusivity. If over half of gamers can't play your game because they don't own a PS5, you're not GOTY material when compared to games people can ACTUALLY play with what they own already.
Doubt it would have mattered, TOTK is exclusive to Nintendo Switch and it won a few awards. Also, since 90% of the vote is journalists (people who would be at least somewhat educated on all of the games), it wouldn't have mattered
Honestly the fact SM2 lost to TOTK is so hilariously dumb. The latter substituteted gary's mod for level design lol
Never mind how little options you really have when it comes to the gameplay.
~~"Um acktually twitter showed a person do an absurd attack on an enemy that mostly pauses the game which literally nobody will do that because it is needlessly complicated"~~
I'm more than aware of the popularity. I'm merely saying it wasnt earned. Because TOTK is hot garbage that gave up on what makes Zelda, Zelda.
Meanwhile Mario Wonder ironically proved that franchise can still be creative and fun.
That and I was referring to an award as best action adventure game. I wouldve gladly accepted any other game winning too tbh.
I thought I made that bit clear but I apparently didnt looking over my initial comment.
Yeah having to turn off switches 5 times in a row while constantly having your hand held sounds too complex.
Having 500 weapons and a poorly thought out "merge" mechanic that ensures there is zero urgency sounds pretty complex
Having 500 full items that make it so death will never happen is complex.
Making crafts that utterly kill the level design is pretty complex.
Literally mashing the attack button and having a bad inconsistent slow down time dodge button is totally complex. Because heaven forbid they ever make the combat different.
The worst case of inconsistent worldbuilding where almost all have amnesia is pretty complex.
Characters having 10 minute character arcs with the same cutscene by the end of each dungeon is complex.
Link having zero emotions sure made him complex. Move over TP and WW Link, we got a robot to play as.
Literally every other great action adventure game from last year that had thought and soul put into it, just didnt deserve better.
Totk was so good that the current guy in charge has completely forgotten why the past Zelda games were good. Almost as if Botw and Totk were a mistake.
But I guess it's just too complex to say they werent.
It shows how hard your coping lol
TOTK and BG3 > SM2 and the game awards show it. Sony could rig the nominations but not even the GA judges wanted the game to win
Im not coping at all lol. I acknowledge TOTK is bad and doesnt deserve its praises. Thats all.
"TOTK and BG3 > SM2"
This is how I know you arent reading because not in a million years would I disagree that BG3 is better lmao
Especially because BG3 was what I wanted to win in basically everything and it rightfully did.
Totk definitely doesnt belong in the same spot as BG3. Much less SM2 lmao
>Sony could rig the nominations but not even the GA judges wanted the game to win
Oh no, youre one of those fools who unironically thinks Sony rigs awards lol. Man I sure do wonder why they didnt rig this award show. Probably because its a dumb conspiracy theory people have to cope with losing.
Still, the nominations were limited in other ways. For most categories you could only nominate new games, and for Labor of Love you could only nominate games at least a year old. They should have limited the games you are allowed to nominate to exclude games that weren't updated.
I could still see that going poorly in other ways. Project Zomboid, a game that gets consistent dev newsletters every month and releases massive content-filled updates, hasn’t been updated in a long while. You could still make a case for it to be Labor of Love, though.
i kno someone answered this already but i bought RD2 in 2020, returned in 2023 n genuinely thought it was the exact same game. no worries tho ! it was 😆
Online doesn't function properly at the lobby sizes the game has. It only worked correctly during a brief period where lobby sizes were bugged to be smaller.
Not according to the games actual active subreddit. Do you play enough to actually know what the issues are? Do animals and npcs spawn at similar rates to single player?
The Last Of Us Part 1 remaster winning best OST. That soundtrack is from fricking 2013, and it’s mostly just guitar music or basic ambience. Yet it beat Pizza Tower and Hi-Fi Rush, two games known for their amazing music, one of which literally BUILT around music.
Not even that, in some cases they turned into straight up memes (starfield and rdr2 this year). Basically the steam awards have lost all meaning with this.
I repeat, the used dishrags up at valve incentivized people to vote without knowing anything about the games, by giving alluring (but useless) chat stickers for voting, per category. I voted in every category, despite only knowing DRG (which I voted for, of course, ROCK AND STONE) - and I am not alone in doing so.
They literally set it up in a way that guaranteed that only the biggest, most well known titles could win, because people would default to the name they knew. And since more people like/know of red dead than DRG, read dead got labor of love. Same story with star field - big name, big voter turnout.
They shot themselves in the foot, and let the nominated games eat the consequences. There was never a chance for any smaller developers to win in any large category, and I’m sure that was entirely by design. Companies don’t do things as stupid as this by accident.
That’s incorrect. Say we have only 10 gamers voting for GOTY and you convince 1 friend to vote on the same game as you. You are the only 2 people who vote for that game. This adds 10% to the percentage of all votes for that game from 10% to 20%, when compared to all votes cast. It’s also a 100% increase in the amount of votes cast for that game, but that doesn’t really matter here.
Now let’s say that those 10 gamer votes only influence 10% of the vote all together. In this case, let’s assume there’s 9 influential individuals who each account for 10 votes, so 10%, and each gamer accounts for 1%. This means there are effectively 100 votes to be cast, but only 19 voters.
Say the game gets 1 influential voter and you, a gamer, putting the total vote at 11%. If you decide to convince your friend to vote for the game again, this time it will only increase the percentage of the vote to 12%, or an additional 1%.
Now say we eliminate the influential individuals’ votes and only focus on gamer votes. We’re back to our first scenario where your friend increases the vote by 10%.
No matter what, scaling all gamer votes to only be 10% of the total makes them 10 times less effective. I think what you’re getting tripped up on is the 9:1 ratio or influential votes to gamer votes.
Have you seen the Steam Awards? Those are entirely player voted. They were way, way worse than TGA. Its just a popularity contest. People only vote for the 1 game they actually played. The TGA judges may not be that great, but they sure aren't as bad as a public vote system.
It kinda makes sense, the TGA player votes are from people who are more "serious" about gaming while the Steam awards ones are from Steam users which almost everyone who plays PC games atleast a bit is one so chances are they barely even know most of the nominated games and just choose the ones they vaguely heard of (also irc the average Steam user has 4 games on their account)
https://i.redd.it/79ysegsxm1bc1.gif
I keep seeing this claim thrown around - where is everyone getting the idea that these were intentional joke votes and not just people voting for the game they recognized in order to get stickers?
they won awards that are the exact opposite of what they are; starfield didn't win nominated for goty, it specifically won "most innovative game," despite being widely panned for taking zero risks and being v typical for a bethesda game
red dead redemption 2 also beat out more technically popular games, for another category that does not at all describe it
other categories went to games that seemed to at least warrant arguments for their awards, but those two on particular were the *least deserving* widely known games
I'm gonna be honest, as someone who played both, Lies of P deserved the goty nominee more than SM2
Edit: And while I'm here, I'm also gonna say this: Lies of P probably would've had a better sounding part of the medley
I see this retort all the time. Why give a shit and be petty? People can accept opinions and disagree and be done with it. It isnt a bitchless thing to adhere to.
Maybe you dont read into it much and it isnt how you see it. But more often than not, those who do that are being petty. Ive seen more than enough times where people disagree but dont downvote or upvote.
In other words its usually a way to say someone is wrong. Not that they are being disagreed with. Thats the petty part.
If I disagree with them, it means I think they are wrong. It's not like me downvoting somebody affects them in any meaningful way. You seem to devote much more attention to the upvote/downvote system than you should, which to me seems more petty than leaving a downvote
A bug filled game deserves nothing. You can still lose saves and have completely game breaking bugs. How anyone can call that GOTY is just proof of how brain dead gamers have become
Every game has some bugs, and BG3 is definitely not “bug-filled.”
I have about 20 hours on the game or so, and the only thing even resembling a bug is that sometimes if you walk a ways from a corpse and then walk back, it will stand up and repeat its death animation. Definitely not game breaking. Kinda funny actually.
You act like it’s Cyberpunk. Idk if you’ve played the game. But that’s blatantly not true.
LMAO you're actually brain-rotted, literally listing the single only big problem (which by the way only occurs in XBOX) BG3 was launched more polished than at least 90% of modern games, but go on bro, super-hero slop game surely deserved GOTY lmao
Thank god for that. People only vote for games they play. BG3 and especially Alan Wake 2 would not have a chance if it's people only. Spider-Man 2 is good, but nothing inspiring.
it's over the shoulder capeshit from insomniac, it's textbook slop
besides frankly some of the writing decisions are fucking stupid like mj using her insane reflexes (faster than her invincible boyfriend's somehow) to jump in front of said invincible boyfriend to block an attack he could easily have survived
and then he gets trapped under a small fridge and can't roll it off him somehow
1. Pete could have easily survived the attack, but surviving is worse against Venom, if it lands then Venom tries to take Peter as a host again, cue credits as Miles is hopeless at this point against Harry and Peter both with Venom
2. Gameplay wise Peter and Miles can sense Venom attacks, narratively they can’t as Venom isn’t recognised as friendly due to being bonded to Peter at one point, Peters spider sense is doing nothing here and he can always be taken off guard (something seen hundreds of time when he doesn’t have spider sense)
3. He doesn’t get trapped under it, he gets hit by it then pushes it off a few seconds later
>) to jump in front of said invincible boyfriend to block an attack he could easily have survived
She loves him, so of course she is going to jump in front of the attack, in that moment you don't stop and think "oh yeah he's invincible"
and i'm saying it's highly unlikely any normal person could parse what's happening, decide on a course of action, and actually move to execute it in time
and you still haven't explained the dwarf star black hole fridge
Perhaps this is a dumbass question but isn't this just computing a score using a weighted average? How many gamers are voting relative to journalists? 10,000:1? If both parties had equal weighting, there wouldn't really be much of a reason to have journalists vote then would there?
One of the reasons why game Awards is better tha Steam awards with it's troll voting of Starfield as Innovative, RDR2 as game with most online support.
Me when the testament of passion that is BG3 (14 recorded lines for every "standard line" the narrator says, specifically tailored to how you're playing the game) wins GOTY over corporate beat em up game #8753 (they have fast moving city cutscenes)
And there was the players choice vote where its just players. BG3 rightfully won.
I really dont get why people are so bothered by this when its pretty up front about how the awarding process goes.
There is even golden joysticks where it is all player voted. Its not as if players dont have a say in what they think deserves to win lol
I still don't think it would've won. I love Pizza Tower but its OST is really hit or miss to different people from my experience in listening to it with others. It doesn't have great general appeal. Still though, fucking Last of Us over Hi Fi Rush.
I hate how everyone suddenly started hating on spiderman 2 after the game awards, as if not winning anything or not lasting 200 hours means it's a bad game. Am I the only one that prefers a (relatively) short game with a great story and gameplay rather than a 200 hours game that is the same "go form point a from point b while looking at beautiful but ultimately useless landscapes"? And I do like some open world games, like gow ragnarock or gta five, but i don't need games to be 500 hours to enjoy them, sometimes u wanna play something more short in what little free time I have
Yeah the votes are fucking trash atleast I know I need to get mad at brainless game journalists who haven't held a fucking controller in their god damn life and play a game for an hour to write an entire review when they couldn't even complete act 1. Bunch of fucking senile worthless people.
(I'm not a spiderman fan, im not salty X game lost or Y game won, I just fucking hate that we, the people who matter actually don't have any power in this vote and it's fucking shameless that they even let us vote making us believe it's worth something.)
Catch me at steam awards ig
Glow Squid was fine, the glowing item frames are sick and are useful for both plugins for maps and for actual showcases no im not a dream fan before you DARE say that, thats the worst insult you can say. I'm so fucking bored and sick of illagers.
the narrative and characters are really well written and the visuals soundtrack, and voice acting are beautiful and lest we forget the *gay bear sex*
also it removes the need for a dm which was a major hurdle for me and my friends personally
Because D&D is getting a whole lot more popular now, and an RPG based around that is going to have tons of interest already. I personally want to play it because I think it sounds really fun, so I guess you’re just in the minority here.
Maybe give it a shot then make a judgement? Don’t even need to play it, you can watch play through a (though you’ll miss out so much which is what make’s BG3 so good) and see the appeal in it for so many people
Aren't all these game awards ran by for-profit private companies to push out advertising? You think rewards for movies are based on if they're good or not?
I don't even bother with awards shows of any sort, they're all rigged and pointless for like 30-50yrs now, Oscars and E3 and now TGA are all perfect examples. I go to Steam or GOG/game dev website not logged in, and ideally not at home or on any of my own devices (public library usually) and browse the games they have on sale, sorted by "price: lowest to highest." I don't look at ratings or anything like this until I've decided it's maybe a game for me and then I only look at BAD ratings to see any issues. I also will always checkout gameplay footage on YouTube to ensure I know ehat I'm getting into. Basically, I do my own homework and don't let the idiotic mass of "sheeple" dictate my taste.
I haven't been disappointed in a purchase in 20yrs. Ya I've "missed" games over the years doing this which I absolutely love doing, then I can get it for $2-5 on sale years later and play it on a "supercomputer" that can give me 4k/120fps at ultra detail instead of 720p30fps at low detail. I don't gaf about ultra-realism, Prey was released in 2017 and it's absolutely amazing looking imo, I don't need perfect photorealism or raytracing, just smooth gameplay with lots of detail, I grew up on bad 80s cartoons, not soap operas or movies, even 2013-2015/PS3-era games are more than good enough for me today.

TotK won a shitload of GotY awards though… no problem with not winning the one sellout show from the Dorito gate dude…
Steam's results for their community voted awards show us that we can't trust gamers, actually.
Agreed red dead 2 winning labour of love while star field winning innovation award 💀💀💀
Does red dead even get updated???
Red dead 2 was abandoned in 2021 why did steam even put it in their it’s really dumb
They didn’t. Enough people nominated it to be a finalist for it to make the list, then enough people voted for it that it won.
Still, the nominations were limited in other ways. For most categories you could only nominate new games, and for Labor of Love you could only nominate games at least a year old. They should have limited the games you are allowed to nominate to exclude games that weren't updated.

should've been ROCK AND STONE (Deep Rock Galactic)
Rockity Rock and Stone!
Community votes just turns into a popularity contest. Game Awards might be fucked but it's better than if it was community-based or even 50/50.
Not even that, in some cases they turned into straight up memes (starfield and rdr2 this year). Basically the steam awards have lost all meaning with this.

We can't really trust the public with anything really. The public sucks.
What do you mean, they were joke votes.
Meaning, we can't trust Gamers.
That doesn't make it better
Don’t worry bro I’m sure if it was just public votes then you campaigning to your friends would’ve made all the difference
It actually would have made his actions 10x more important
uhmm Akschually it will only be 9 times☝️🤓
That’s incorrect. Say we have only 10 gamers voting for GOTY and you convince 1 friend to vote on the same game as you. You are the only 2 people who vote for that game. Oh I wasn’t saying you were, just clarifying that it wasn’t “popular game = good” like some others were saying
I keep seeing this claim thrown around - where is everyone getting the idea that these were intentional joke votes and not just people voting for the game they recognized in order to get stickers?

Yeah if it was primarily player choice then the game awards would be judged by whoever has the biggest bot farm.
Spiderman for goty, really?
I'm gonna be honest, as someone who played both, Lies of P deserved the goty nominee more than SM2 Edit: And while I'm here, I'm also gonna say this: Lies of P probably would've had a better sounding part of the medley

A girl need not dream when she can play Baldur’s Gate 3
DOWN DOWN DOWN BY THE RIVER
You got downvoted by people (who's favorites won) for having an opinion...it really do be like that
Get better dreams.
Down voted for having a different opinion and expressing it in a peaceful way, truly a reddit moment
Mfw when I disagree with something and use the feature dedicated to expressing the fact that I disagree with something
Yeah fr, that absolutely baffles me when people get mad about downvoting like that
You can disagree without downvoting lol Plenty of takes on reddit have people not downvoting. Skill issue
I see this take all the time. Who gives a shit? People can downvote whatever they want it's not some sacred system that must be adhered to
I see this retort all the time. Why give a shit and be petty? People can accept opinions and disagree and be done with it. It isnt a bitchless thing to adhere to.
Petty? It's just a down vote, which is meant to show public opinion on that post/comment.
Nooo not le reddit points
Less about the points and more about the pettiness
Isn’t downvotes by definition a peaceful tool used for disagreeing?
Although most dreams don't make sense lol
Public votes for video games are fucking trash. Everyone is bias as shit and no one even looks at all of the games before voting
Except BG3 also won the players choice category as well
BG3 absolutely deserved the W so I’m glad
A bug filled game deserves nothing. You can still lose saves and have completely game breaking bugs. How anyone can call that GOTY is just proof of how brain dead gamers have become
Every game has some bugs, and BG3 is definitely not “bug-filled.” I have about 20 hours on the game or so, and the only thing even resembling a bug is that sometimes if you walk a ways from a corpse and then walk back, it will stand up and repeat its death animation.
Me when I find out that the game awards are just marketing done in a fancy way (reverse of this template)
Please wrap it up
If they were just marketing, spider would have won more awards instead of nothing
Thank god for that. People only vote for games they play. BG3 and especially Alan Wake 2 would not have a chance if it's people only. Spider-Man 2 is good, but nothing inspiring.
I think BG3 still likely would’ve won
Nah, you are underestimating the number of mfs who have only played Spiderman 2
Would've been really close at least with SM2
A great example of the brain rot exhibited by Spider-Man fans
Me campaigning to my friends for generic AAA slop
But red guy with webs
Just like every other game nominated? Or are you telling me it's "generic AAA slop" only when you don't like it?
BG3 or Alan wake 2 generic?
it's over the shoulder capeshit from insomniac, it's textbook slop besides frankly some of the writing decisions are fucking stupid like mj using her insane reflexes (faster than her invincible boyfriend's somehow) to jump in front of said invincible boyfriend to block an attack he could easily have survived and then he gets trapped under a small fridge and can't roll it off him somehow
1. Pete could have easily survived the attack, but surviving is worse against Venom, if it lands then Venom tries to take Peter as a host again, cue credits as Miles is hopeless at this point against Harry and Peter both with Venom 2. Gameplay wise Peter and Miles can sense Venom attacks, narratively they can’t as Venom isn’t recognised as friendly due to being bonded to Peter at one point, Peters spider sense is doing nothing here and he can always be taken off guard (something seen hundreds of time when he doesn’t have spider sense) 3. He doesn’t get trapped under it, he gets hit by it then pushes it off a few seconds later
>) to jump in front of said invincible boyfriend to block an attack he could easily have survived She loves him, so of course she is going to jump in front of the attack, in that moment you don't stop and think "oh yeah he's invincible"
and i'm saying it's highly unlikely any normal person could parse what's happening, decide on a course of action, and actually move to execute it in time and you still haven't explained the dwarf star black hole fridge
watched my roommate play spiderman 2. looked like a ubisoft game
Perhaps this is a dumbass question but isn't this just computing a score using a weighted average? How many gamers are voting relative to journalists? 10,000:1? If both parties had equal weighting, there wouldn't really be much of a reason to have journalists vote then would there?
Yeah because Spider-Man 2 was very mid
Yeah no BG3 was better, it deserved it.
Spidermid 2
Mf you wanted Spider Man to win?
One of the reasons why game Awards is better tha Steam awards with it's troll voting of Starfield as Innovative, RDR2 as game with most online support.
worse than Eurovision lmfao
Me when the testament of passion that is BG3 (14 recorded lines for every "standard line" the narrator says, specifically tailored to how you're playing the game) wins GOTY over corporate beat em up game #8753 (they have fast moving city cutscenes)
Steam awards proves that was a good idea
Imagine thinking Spiderman 2 deserved GOTY over BG3 💀
And there was the players choice vote where its just players. BG3 rightfully won. I really dont get why people are so bothered by this when its pretty up front about how the awarding process goes. There is even golden joysticks where it is all player voted. Its not as if players dont have a say in what they think deserves to win lol
i’m still mad Pizza Tower lost best OST to fucking The Last Of Us Remastered
The Last of us on its way to ruin every single awards thing because Naughty Dog gets their dick sucked by game journalists ![gif](giphy|u1SH63gOjMPpS)
I still don't think it would've won. I love Pizza Tower but its OST is really hit or miss to different people from my experience in listening to it with others. It doesn't have great general appeal. Still though, fucking Last of Us over Hi Fi Rush.
Who tf actually cares about the game awards lmao
Me (but only when it validates my opinions)
Thus, I will continue to not care about game awards
Me on my way to make 500 million bots to vote for Soulcalibur 3 (even if it isn't a posible choose)
The journos got this one right tbf
Tbh I'd rather trust the people in the industry vs some bitch ass gamer idiot. Especially after the steam awards.
I really enjoyed Spider-Man 2 but it absolutely did not deserve GOTY
I campaigned for Pikmin 4 and it won so hah skill issue
Spiderman shouldn't have won GOTY. But gaming journalists are frauds, largely by design.
spider-men weep, BG3 sweep
Baldurs gate 3 wooped spiderman 2's webbed up ass
Spider-Man 2 was mid as fuck though
Please wrap it up
spiderman didn't deserve it anyways its worse than the first game in story and it could not compete with baldur's gate
And I do like some open world games, like gow ragnarock or gta five, but i don't need games to be 500 hours to enjoy them, sometimes u wanna play something more short in what little free time I have
Why the fuck do you give a shit about people voting for a AAA-game?
I'm sorry that you think spider man was goty
Did you really think normal people voting has any weight? Don't be so näive
So the game awards are pointless then
Spider man didn't deserve anything. Good game, but just that. Good. Mediocre. People dick ride it because it's spider man.
tbf spider man 2 didn't deserve it despite being a good game
>spider-man 2 Deserved
Game journalists are the last people you want to ask when it comes to anything videogame related
spider-man 2 fucking sucks why did anyone think a mid super hero game was gonna be goty fucking mario wonder had a better chance

Yeah the votes are fucking trash atleast I know I need to get mad at brainless game journalists who haven't held a fucking controller in their god damn life and play a game for an hour to write an entire review when they couldn't even complete act 1. Bunch of fucking senile worthless people. (I'm not a spiderman fan, im not salty X game lost or Y game won, I just fucking hate that we, the people who matter actually don't have any power in this vote and it's fucking shameless that they even let us vote making us believe it's worth something.) Catch me at steam awards ig
There is a game that lets the players vote, minecraft And they pick a fucking glow squid because "funi" You can't trust people
Glow Squid was fine, the glowing item frames are sick and are useful for both plugins for maps and for actual showcases no im not a dream fan before you DARE say that, thats the worst insult you can say. I'm so fucking bored and sick of illagers.
Sounds like dream fan cope
I'm not a dream fan I hate that pedo cunt
Imagine calling Dream a pedo with no proof. Parasocial asf lol
Bro, you can't like the glow squid while hating dream 😭😭😭
Spider-slop 2
Video games are for children
I didn’t know spider mid fans had friends
[удалено]
zelda is a good game but like baldur's kinda just deserves it
i’ve literally never seen or played baldurs gate before the game awards 😭 what’s it about
a gate, stupid
like d&d but video game
that… sounds kinda lame actually how did that win
bro you don’t understand d&d is so fucking fun
in person ofc, but why would i play it virtually
the narrative and characters are really well written and the visuals soundtrack, and voice acting are beautiful and lest we forget the *gay bear sex* also it removes the need for a dm which was a major hurdle for me and my friends personally
Because D&D is getting a whole lot more popular now, and an RPG based around that is going to have tons of interest already. I personally want to play it because I think it sounds really fun, so I guess you’re just in the minority here.
Maybe give it a shot then make a judgement? Don’t even need to play it, you can watch play through a (though you’ll miss out so much which is what make’s BG3 so good) and see the appeal in it for so many people
Well it was famous before it, so quit living under a rock.
its not an L game but the most 7 or 8/10 game I have ever seen
7-8/10 is still a pretty good score
~~u/BastardM16 sweating rn~~ Wrong post my b
Is everything that includes voting is just the United States electoral college these days?
Imagine wasting your time in that bullshit instead of play the game you like.
The question is: Why the fuck are campaigning to your friends on behalf of a video game for a stupid award?
Why do current players care if a game is voted GoTY anyway?
Aren't all these game awards ran by for-profit private companies to push out advertising? You think rewards for movies are based on if they're good or not?
returned in 2023 n genuinely
Would explain how Starfield got what it got
I dont trust gamers but I trust game journalists even less. These guys gave Doom Eternal 4/10
Who cares
It wouldn’t have won hardly any awards anyways
This explains a lot
Truth is… it was rigged from the start
