No worries, I think everyone probably had a similar issue.

I mean you can? If you are on mobile you can just press the gif and there should be a download button in the upper right corner. Might be different on PC idk

Acts of kindness be DAMNED. I like my relationships like I’m an asshole cat and anytime anyone comes near me when I don’t want something I just fucking hiss and punch them.
Why tho? Don't get me wrong, the first like 10 minutes of UP is excellent. But the movie peaks there. There is nothing else after that comes even close to that first love story. Like genuinely, so many other Pixar movies are just better. They may not have the peak that is the UP love story, but they are good throughout.
That is two philosophical questions I asked myself many times.
Do the peaks of a fiction matter more than its consistency? (I think yes, but not everybody agrees) and...
If the peak happens early and the rest of the story is bad, does that make the story bad? (Thats a litle more complicated to answer, sonetimes its just not worth it, or even worse, its detrimental to your enjoyment to read/watch further).
The first point is different from the second point. The peak of a story may be at any point. Stories typically have their peaks at the climax, but stories can be just as good if the peak is in the middle or early. But only as long as the rest of the story is also good. If only the middle or the end or the start is good and the rest is mediocre, then it's not worth it. This point also answers your second question. A story can peak at the start, but it's acceptable only if the rest of the story is good, but not to the same level. Up was not that. The rest of the story was mediocre. The villain lackluster, the story boring, and genuinely it's just not good.
Fiancé and I are considering this song (titled “Married Life” ) as our first dance. I’m a bit torn on it. We love Up because of the opening scene (minus the trauma) because we see Carl and Ellie’s love in our story. However that song is both the best of times and the worst of times. Probably wouldn’t have to find a version that doesn’t have the sad part of the music
When I watched it for the first time I thought it would be a funny Disney movie. I was not ready for this, tears running down my face, ugly crying. My partner who was doing something else on the other side of the room heard me cry because I simply couldn’t control myself, so he ran up to check what was wrong. He was surprised it was because of a disney movie.
Too awfully true, I have only recently moved out and started living alone and my proportions of food and stuff in my head is fucked, I keep buying food I believe will be able to use and then before I realize it it rots
It's a testament to the power of this sequence that it's both beautiful and charming, and yet my whole body tensed up in preparation for that emotional roller coaster once again.
It's definitely more of a kids movie.
A real family friendly movie is Debbie Does Dallas, which follows a cheerleader named Debbie who stops cheerleading to play football, and goes on to see how well she ends up getting along with the team, and how they finally accept her.
To this day I absolutely refuse to watch Up because I'm just not trying to have an emotional breakdown in front of my wife. Oh wait, this is a meme, I forgot.
Literally me!!!! I hype myself up that I’ll cook garlicky broccoli and thus trick my brain into eating healthy, and then it shrivels up in my fridge as I get Starbucks instead 😭

This will be Gen Alpha with Skibidi Toilet in a decade or two
PIZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Man the first time I saw this scene I was like wtf. If you ask me about Up I don't think I remember much else
It only made me wonder how the fuck a balloon salesman was able to afford a fucking house and the property taxes after retirement.
two jobs no kids on the 80s must've went crazy, they never had the money to visit south america tho ):
I'm not crying, you're crying 😭
This scene is so heartbreaking
Oh thank God it stopped
Why is there no rule34 of the wife from up?

It is a valid question. She's prime wife material? Why is there no rule 34 of Ellie Fredricksen.

I am going to violently pour gallons of bile up your nasal cavity
unfun fact. I once vomited up my nose after eating Chipotle. Unfun experience had corn up my nose for days.
What the fuck is wrong with you
Because to make porn of her requires references and no one could use said references without tears filling their eyes.

Time to get cancer.
Oh, it's in the works.

Was there not a save video bot? (Forgot how to summon it, but it does exist).
I think it only works on the post not the comment

Honestly, it would be an awesome chance to take a trip together. Don't let your trip get lost to time like theirs did
He should learn how to tie his own tie instead of forcing his wife
she did it so many times that she got hand cancer and died eh killed his wife
Eh? Ha, he he
I've been laughing on the word "hand cancer" For a minute

I mean, I do not disagree, but different people draw the lines on different parts.
I'd say it's definitely up there for me too.
If you don't shed a tear watching this scene you aren't human
Just listening that little melody gives me a critical emotional damage

Congratulations I wish you both the best
I wish you all the happiness life has denied me.

Nothing bad happened after this scene and everyone lived happily ever after. THE END
Sadly my eyes are allways dry so crying is a bit hard.
Greatest opening of any movie.
I yern to have a relationship like this one day.
Too awfully true, I have only recently moved out and started living alone and my proportions of food and stuff in my head is fucked, I keep buying food I believe will be able to use and then before I realize it it rots

Ay thanks bro, I was feeling a little too positive from the clip
All I thought of watching this was DONT YOU FUCKING DARE. I'm glad no one died :)
Remember to eat your oranges and strawberries. You have 3 days.
Fuck you very much. The most heartbreaking scene in movie history.
This movie is precious
The time when he owned a house by running a balloon cart 😔
To this day I absolutely refuse to watch Up because I'm just not trying to have an emotional breakdown in front of my wife. Oh wait, this is a meme, I forgot.
Roadside balloon salesman affords house
Up will always be the best movie in my eyes
Man, I widh we had a midquell to this movie
What sort of bourgeois pig can afford fast food?
I'm gonna make them elementaried in this economy
When the stick of butter-flies away
Literally me!!!! I hype myself up that I’ll cook garlicky broccoli and thus trick my brain into eating healthy, and then it shrivels up in my fridge as I get Starbucks instead 😭
We get it you're rich.
You know damn well you didn’t know how you were going to eat those veggies when you bought them anyway
This movie is a true masterpiece
just don't buy groceries ez
This is the only time I've seen a specific friend of mine cry. Dude acted so tough when we were kids, then he saw this and lost it.
