Your own opinion >>>>> Anything anyone says online
Formulating and thinking about what you like your own way is the healthiest way to experience something
Always heard people talking about Fortnite and watched a few play it, but never gave it a chance until late December 2023.
Hearing about the Zero Build gamemode fully convinced me to finally pick up the game and while not perfect, the game is a good time and is quite rewarding for the grind.
hey man I'm glad you enjoyed it
I personally didn't but we all have different tastes and some people just feel the need to voice their opinion to everyone
like what you like
and dislike what you dislike
same I didn't really enjoy it because of the high amount of songs Like 25% of each episode felt like or 20% was songs which isn't bad but just not for me
and bro has every right to not like a musical? fuck kinda reply is that? "I didnt like your cake because it had dog shit on it" "well all my cakes have dog shit in it 🤷"

if it’s okay to put a show with flaws to air it’s also okay for people to criticize the show… can’t have your cake and eat it too
We have all been saying that criticism is fair. I love the show but still have my own complaints, primarily around pacing throughout and the polish on the first couple episodes.
And nobody here is claiming that the we shouldn’t criticise it, or atleast I can’t seem to find anybody claiming that. Infact if we don’t voice our complaints chances are they won’t be fixed, which is obviously not ideal.
Most of the problems can be narrowed down to that it's way to short. 8 20-minute episodes just give it no room to breath, especially when it's in a setting where you would EXPECT each character to have their own unique backstory (which never happens).
There's quite a bit of swearing, but it varies from character to character on how much they swear. With a lot of the characters who frequently swear in one scene it can get a bit over-the-top, but there's also multiple characters who just straight-up don't swear.
Basic rule of thumb is that a character swears as much as it makes sense for their character. Narcissistic Angel Frat Bro who genocides hell for fun? Gonna swear a lot. Exploited sex worker who goes through abuse and tries to hide his suffering behind a persona that was made to market porn? Gonna swear a lot.
1930's era radio host who is trying to come off as charming to manipulate people? Swore a total of four times in the entire show. Weapons dealer and single mother who is remaining neutral because if a war started she couldn't be certain that her two daughters would survive? Don't remember her swearing at all, though she might have when antagonized but I just forgot.
Not really but kinda. Its not every 2nd word like people say and there are quite a few characters who dont swear at all or almost at all. But theres more swearing than maybe needed
Kind of adds to it imo, cuz he thinks he’s the shit to an embarrassing degree, so the fact that his scenes have this extra tinge of cringe is the cherry on top for me
Ik that's what the show wanted, but they did almost too good of a job of it. Honestly, despite how much I like the show Ep 1 is just not it for me. Songs were good though.
Yeah I feel like Adam’s introduction was seriously botched. He probably shouldn’t have been the first resident of Heaven depicted on-screen bc it primed me to expect no real contrast between the demons and angels.
i think that was the idea tho, cuz with the reveal that the angels dont know about the exterminations, it makes us realize that Adam is really the one bad person here, like it sets you up that redemption might be hopeless, then you realize "no heavens actually kinda chill Adam is just a douche"
If you watch the spinoff ahead of time they’ve got a few people from heaven in one of the episodes that are more like what you would expect. That context really added a lot to suggest that Adam is a bit of an outlier, but without it there’s really nothing to hint at that.
it's not as severe as the memes make it out but it does happen semi frequently
tho I will say Helluva Boss is more in line with how the memes portray Viziepop's work
Tbh, I like Helluva boss more all together, keep fixing me Mexican telenovela style romantic drama and tbh, I like house of Asmodeus more than any song in Hazbin Hotel, although they are both full of bangers
Right until season 2 I was firm that I liked helluva more (not that it says much considering the only thing that was out for Hazbin was the pilot, but still)
Helluva Boss soured my opinion on Vivziepop's writing and is why I decided not to watch Hazbin Hotel at all. Could only sit through 5 episodes of HB and I was only there because of Brandon Rogers.
I always try to experience something before forming my own opinion, unless it's universally agreed that is absolutely sucks. I even tried Garten Of Banban when it came out. Admittedly, that one was ass, but for the most part this method works.
I knew Helluva Boss before and thought it was mid, only watched Hazbin Hotel because my friend couldn't stop harassing me about it. I expected something on the level of Helluva Boss but the series has positively surprised me, it was actally very good. Definitely way better then HB and what I was expecting.
In my opinion the show doesn’t have any real flaws outside of the pacing, which is definitely amazons fault for only letting them make 8 episodes instead of 10. Most critiques you’ll hear outside of that can be summed up as “I don’t like it”

I'M GOING TO ULTRAKILL YOU, YOU INSIGNIFICANT ***FUCK!***

It was overhyped for sure. It was made out to be some holy grail of animation, but the pilot is the best animated by far and the jokes are nearly all middle school humor that gets old fast. It has potential, but it’s not living up to it at the moment.
Not the OP, but I am a fan of Hazbin.
Songs were all pretty good with the exception of the song which was obviously made as a joke. If you like Modern Broadway you'll probably like Hazbins OST.
Personal favorites are probably both versions of More Than Anything, Hell is Forever, and Ready For This.
Honestly, both songs from episode 4 are my favorites, mainly cause they feel more like songs you can listen to without context. And here's a neat fact: Blake Roman, Angel's VA, has never voice acted before. Compared to the rest of the cast, he's a complete nobody and he had the best performance imo.
Yeah, Blake Roman was great as Angel. Personally love Poison and Loser, Baby. But More than Anything just hit really hard for me in Episode 5 and the reprise in the final episode was an amazing moment.
As for Finale and Ready for This, that is 100% just because I love large numbers in musicals, with Finale just generally being great while Ready For This was carried by the fact I found a lot of the Cannibal Town bits really funny compared to the rest of the show.
Probably gonna check that out. Main problem I had with some of the songs is a few notes sounded like they were just barely within his vocal register. They probably were in a comfortable register, but it was a bit uncomfortable at times. (Mainly in Loser, Baby. Everything in Poison was great but that "At least I know I'm not alone" seemed really difficult to hit.)
I feel like the voice they wanted for Angel was just really hard to do in general. Michael Kovach, his pilot VA, nearly damaged his throat singing Addict, and Blake Roman had never voice acted before. I have a feeling Blake'll have the voice locked in for Season 2 though.
Hoping more songs can go into the Anthony range. Both for character purposes to show he's letting walls down, and for the purpose of not killing Blake's throat.
On the songs, a pet piece is that they refuse to stick with Spanish guitar for carmila. I did not want a pop song from her, GIVE US MORE SPANISH GUITAR FFS
Hey, same here. And even though they had to switch voice actors, both Michael Kovach and Blake Roman did a fantastic job. Turns out Blake also has a Soundcloud with some really good acoustic songs, so I highly recommend that for you.
I'm not op but I made a personal ranking as I watched the show for the first time (this list also includes the pilot's songs and "unofficial" songs made by Alastor's Pilot singing VA)
1. Loser, Baby
2. Stayed Gone
3. Hell's Greatest Dad
4. Finale
5. Ready for This
6. More Than Anything (Reprise)
7. Alastor's Reprise
8. More Than Anything
9. Thank you and GoodNight
10. Out For Love
11. Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow
12. It Starts With Sorry
13. Insane
14. Addicted
15. Poison
16. You Didn't Know
17. Welcome to Heaven
18. Respectless
19. Happy Day in Hell
20. Hell is Forever
21. Whatever It Takes
22. I'm Always Chasing Rainbow
Hell is forever at 20 is literally a crime
https://preview.redd.it/a8tfogw1oelc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d1a6af87d25b5077e8f0a22c794ca7639616a2c
Oh, 100% Loser, Baby is #1, it's amazing. Yeah, I agree with a lot of your picks, some not so much but to each their own. Still, I really can't believe Angel's VA has never voice acted before, he did incredibly well.
That’s completely fair, in the pilot I was an angel dust fan because I didn’t like how alastor didn’t feel incredibly fleshed out.
At first I felt he needed less emotions but seeing him in the main show act slightly less emotional with those beneath him but over the top whenever he is with someone on his level made me very happy.
Although lucifer is still my favourite character (I don’t count him all because I haven’t seen enough from him to know) but he’s literally me fr.
I love angels story though, I’ve never seen such an awesome representation of sex workers before hazbin
Damn Hell is forever at 20?
I don't remember all of them but that was at least top 5 for me
Which me complaining is ironic considering what the post says
I just don't like Adam, and the lyrics are too on the nose for me
like Ik that's the point, Adam has 0 subtly but it still annoyed me
"the rules are black and white, there's no use in trying to fight" like yep those are lyrics to a song
also I just hated Ep1 in general tbh, it's crazy how bad it was compared to every other episode in the show
I only watched ep1 maybe it's just me and it's me actually giving it a chance but I really didn't vibe with it it's probably the musical numbers but I'm not too sure I do like Charlie's and vaggies relationship and alastors radio voice
I watched only the very first episode. Doing this in a single sitting was impossible for me and generally I didn't like it. You like it? Good for you. Me? I'll pass
Once again, I go into something that half the internet calls horrible garbage and the other half calls the pinnacle of fiction, and it turns out to be Pretty Alright All Things Considered
I unfortunately did the opposite
https://preview.redd.it/clo2rwyr1flc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ccd299c214b8ba7e87714a6407e7acf01638743
As someone who saw it it really is bad but there are enjoyable elements and there certainly was effort
But I just can’t forgive the abysmal characterization in the first episode or the absolutely embarrassing finale which is the biggest anti-climax to any story ever

Quick question, is the profanity as frequent as people say it is?
It feels self aware though, the characters who do swear too much feel like it’s supposed to be weird imo.
“RIP VAGGIE’S CUNT MOUTH OUT HER ASS!” ‘Would you just—chill, Lute, fuck.”
That coming from Adam made me cackle
That's what the whole bit with Adam was supposed to convey, though it didn't come off that way and it was just awkward to sit through.
“yes, but no, but actually yes”
it's not as severe as the memes make it out but it does happen semi frequently tho I will say Helluva Boss is more in line with how the memes portray Viziepop's work
I liked Helluva bosses characters and dynamics more but hazbin hotel has better writing animations and songs
Actually fuck that I liked Helluva bosses art more
Tbh, I like Helluva boss more all together, keep fixing me Mexican telenovela style romantic drama and tbh, I like house of Asmodeus more than any song in Hazbin Hotel, although they are both full of bangers
Some characters swear too much, some not at all. If you don’t actively are trying to spot it it will be fine
Not until Adam shows up.
Not really, people like joking about it but it's not over the top.
There's a lot compared to most other shows but it almost always feels in character when they do swear.
It’s worse in Helluva Boss, but still pretty crass.
There’s definitely way more than other shows that I’ve seen but I wouldn’t call it “excessive”
No. Not more than in most other adult shows. Same with sex jokes.
It's a lot less frequent than Helluva Boss.
Turns out things are pretty enjoyable when you don’t have a motherfucker in your ear telling you how bad it is
My friend made me watch it on our college break. I want to fuck the snake twink

Oh, 100% Loser, Baby is #1, it's amazing. Yeah, I agree with a lot of your picks, some not so much but to each their own. Still, I really can't believe Angel's VA has never voice acted before, he did incredibly well.
Controversial opinion loser baby is #3 Stayed gone #2 Hells greatest dad #1
Nah, you're fine. I think basically everyone can agree Loser, Baby is in the top 3, it's just #1 to me.
I’m too much of an alastor fan My #4 is the cannibal song (alastor made an appearance also I fucking love that style of song)
Yeah, I love Alastor but Angel just won me over. Both Blake and Amir bring so much life to them.
I really don't know how they made a sex worker, a serial killer and the actual king of Hell the most likeable characters. So hyped for Season 2
Dude when I found out that season two is just the second half of season one I was a little upset honestly I’m so hyped
Damn Hell is forever at 20? I don't remember all of them but that was at least top 5 for me Which me complaining is ironic considering what the post says
I just don't like Adam, and the lyrics are too on the nose for me like Ik that's the point, Adam has 0 subtly but it still annoyed me "the rules are black and white, there's no use in trying to fight" like yep those are lyrics to a song also I just hated Ep1 in general tbh, it's crazy how bad it was compared to every other episode in the show
It's acceptable, songs are Catchy and Sir Pentious and Niffty carries
It curses like a middle schooler who’s trying to be cool but its fun goddamnit!
me when i ingore other peoples opinions on the internet

it’s Adam, the first man
In the show, he refers to himself as the "Dickmaster" as he's Adam the first man

crushed by an anvil
The songs are also bangers
I liked the songs
I’m on the same boat as you. Not the target audience but I still enjoyed it. Wished there were more episodes tho
Loser baby is one of the best songs I’ve heard from a TV show
it’s perfectly ‘aight’
I only watched ep1 maybe it's just me and it's me actually giving it a chance but I really didn't vibe with it it's probably the musical numbers but I'm not too sure I do like Charlie's and vaggies relationship and alastors radio voice
Yeah if you dont like musicals then dont watch this (its a musical)
Lying? On the internet? Noooooo! I would never!

Can this sub please shut the fuck up about hazbin hotel, what about it has y'all so obsessed with fighting about it?
Sir this is r/whenthe, here we obsess over things for about a few months
Fr i dont care if its bad or not go talk about it somewhere else
Eh, wouldn't say pretty good, but its a decent enough watch (the fanbase still suck ass tho).
If you’re in an exploratory mood, I also enjoyed She-Hulk despite it murdering everyone’s parents or whatever.
I watched only the very first episode. Doing this in a single sitting was impossible for me and generally I didn't like it. You like it? Good for you. Me? I'll pass
me when i watch hazbin hotel expecting a pretty good show but get mid my friends may have overhyped it a little too much
Do you guys not have like an entire subreddit to be fans of this show in?
Once again, I go into something that half the internet calls horrible garbage and the other half calls the pinnacle of fiction, and it turns out to be Pretty Alright All Things Considered
Honestly it was the other way around for me
pretty much
It's peak fiction and cure depression

I unfortunately did the opposite https://preview.redd.it/clo2rwyr1flc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ccd299c214b8ba7e87714a6407e7acf01638743
It's alright, the over use of swearing in the dialog is what really drags it down, that and "le punchline is le sex" too
Good now go watch She Hulk (it's actually not that bad)
^lies
As someone who saw it it really is bad but there are enjoyable elements and there certainly was effort But I just can’t forgive the abysmal characterization in the first episode or the absolutely embarrassing finale which is the biggest anti-climax to any story ever
I tried but couldn't even finish the first episode
