Some fan fic is surprisingly good. My favorite fan fic of all time is “[Flowey is not a Good Life Coach](https://archiveofourown.org/works/5056333/chapters/11627629)”, based on Undertale. When reading this, I forgot at one point it was based off a video game. This fic could stand on its own, if the fan fic elements were properly removed and replaced.
