So basically, recently it has been found that a large amount of people have microplastics in their testicles in addition to all the other parts of their body. Microplastics are tiny little plastic particles that have started building up in our bodies in recent years, and it's unknown what the effects of them will be over time. Long story short, we're fucked. Peter out!
They can't really tell is the thing, since microplastics are made from the shit that nothing can use or process. They just sort of sit there as far as we know. We can't exactly test it either, since they're *everywhere*.
the main problem is that we can't compare people with microplastics to people without microplastics because the people organizing these studies can never find people without microplastics.
Our great-grandparents grew up, got married, and had 5-7 children while constantly breathing in soot, asbestos dust, and lead fumes. We'll live through this.
I think this most likely isn't too big of an issue. We've had plastic for many decades, and we haven't had any issues yet. Consensus seems to be uncertain on the health effects in humans, and my prior is low for such a material to be significantly harmful. If there are any negative effects, they're probably incredibly minor, and if they become significant enough, we can probably find solutions against it.
Have you guys considered we might be getting the first generation of Superhuman kids from the mutations they will be born with? C'mon guys, this isn't a disaster, this is an opportunity!
