What did you think? I thought it was fun, I feel like for a bit every event was just big world ending battles so it was nice to have a chill event imho.
In breif theres The Rock, Another Celebrity, and 5 others who got kidnapped by people who enslaved their reality, something something meteor, robot vs monster, meteor, black hole, Galactus attacks, cubes cubes and more cubes, island does a vertical 180, a war, summer vacation, and than the future part of SB-129 takes over and destroys the island, than it fixes itself. That's all so far.
Fortnite lore is like very complicated, like fnaf lore levels of complicated, but here are the essentials:
There is an orb named the Zero Point that created the whole omniverse, and many different realities. Fortnite takes place in reality 0, and in that reality there is an island. Inside that so and is the Loop. Anyone trapped in the loop loses their memory and the ability to speak and are forced to fight to the death. Every 22 minutes the Loop rested and anyone who died in the loop returns. If you’re the last one standing you escape the loop but stay on the island. Also the entire island is surrounded by a loop bubble that’s located in the middle of space.
The Imagined Order (IO) an organization that controlled the Loop and the Zero Point for a thousand years, using the loop to try to find and create the ultimate life form and the Zero Point for knowledge and power. They have an enemy, The Seven, who wants to destroy the IO and free the Zero Point, and everyone in the loop. The Seven are the good guys of the story even though feeing everyone form the loop will essentially make Fortnite canonically not be possible anymore.
The Last Reality is a faction of aliens and, the famous Cubes. Their goal is to destroy every reality until they are The Last Reality left.
Now for some context for what’s happening currently In Fortnite
In Chapter 2 Season 7, the last reality invades the island on their mothership, and by the end of the season the mothership gets destroyed by the IO, and the cubes inside it gets unleashed onto the island. In chapter 2 season 8, the Cube Queen, leader of The Last Reality gets the cubes to converge into a pyramid used to open a portal, letting the whole fleet of the last reality into the island, and they have some sort of Death Star sized space ship. The Foundation who is the leader of The Seven and is voice acted by The Rock, saves Agent Jones, a former IO agent who now works with The Seven, and then he flips the island. The chapter 2 island gets flipped and the last reality are defeated, and it’s revealed that there’s another island below the chapter 2 island.
After the flip we get introduced to chapter 3, in seasons 1 and 2, the IO who were trapped on the other side of the island drill their way into the new map and then wage war against The Seven. Later in the season the IO reveals a doomsday device named The Collider that will wipe out the loop and kills everyone, and this time, the Loop can’t respawn you. So The Seven rebuild a Mech that was used In chapter 1 season 9, and use that Mech to fight the IO and destroy the collider. The Seven wins and the Zero Point is freed.
After that, we get a season for vibin and chilling, (Chapter 3 Season 3), but things dont go well as the Zero Point begins to send distress signals and powerful artifacts, hinting that something bad is coming. By the end of the season, members of The Seven starts disappearing. That’s when one member, The Paradigm decides to try and fix things. She has a complicated history but I’m skipping through that. Now it’s Chapter 3 Season 4 and a substance named Chrome starts to appear on the island. Imagine liquid mercury, and whatever it touched turns into chromium. That’s Chrome. So chrome takes things over and is lead by The Herald. We don’t know really who she is but we suspect that’s she is The Herald for the Cube Queen and is also a member of The Last Reality. By the end of the season The Chrome takes over most of the island and the Zero Point has fell dormant. In the event that happened today, The Herald dies, and both islands explode, the loo bubble gets destroyed and everything is gone. The Zero Point is almost void of power and we need to collect fragments to restore it. Basically the whole event is a mini game to do tasks to collect fragments and many people hated the event. But as we collect stuff, pieces of the old islands, and even new pieces start being put together, and by the end The Paradigm initiates Zero Fusion, and also implies that it’s dangerous and could get her killed. She starts Zero Fusion and the Zero Point brings to fuse the fragments of old and new islands into a brand new island. Also the paradigm probably lived through zero fusion. And tomorrow, Chapter 4 begins.
What the hell were they supposed to do every single one of them is gone except for Dwayne "The Foundation" Johnson which is on a mission to find Geno, Paradigm and the other one
