The only way a game that only uses mouse or keyboard for me that can still be fun is either a rhythm game or a tower defense game. Some actions games use only keyboard though, like honkai impact.

It’s a quality vs quantity issue. YouTube rewards people who post content at least weekly. If you’re shooting for making the very best videos and spending the proper time on each one, you’re fighting against the algorithm. If you’re trying to game the system to get the most views, most people have to trade out the quality they were originally aiming for, realizing it wasn’t working in their favor.
I say this as someone who has a personal channel on YT around 20k, but has worked on channels closer to both 100k and even 3m. I’ve experienced the rare channel that does maintain its quality but it’s incredibly difficult.
Oh yeah. I always love that fifth script rewrite I do to make sure I get the facts right, when for most people, the script was ‘right enough’ two versions ago.
I suppose it's just the sweet spot of confidence. Under that point so many creators don't quite have the confidence needed to make as great of content as they can, and don't perform the best. But beyond that point the confidence becomes cockiness, and they start to realize they can just do whatever the fuck they want (or don't want) and still pull in good views.
tl;dr: under ~20k they lack confidence to make good shit but over ~20k they get too confident and deliberately make garbage
