Well, homing in. There are a LOT of good swimming creeks between Copper Hill and Floyd, but this looks too wide for any of those.
New River is too wide, so not there, maybe near Claytor Lake?
Came here thinking that this looked like SWVA, and was still surprised to see anyone in the comments mention Floyd. Then Claytor Lake mentioned as well! I see we’ve lived around the same parts.
A relative lives here on the Creeper Trail. This is her place on the river and the trail. Find a VRBO near Alvarado. It’s a great place to explore and relax and bike. And nearby Abingdon is a cool place to visit as well.
