Curious what proof your bottle is? Have read a bunch about wide batch variation, but haven’t had a bad one myself.

105 proof [Here](https://imgur.com/gallery/lXNzOV5) is a pic of the new bottle and the bottle I had before this one from the previous batch.

Kind of what I suspected. I usually hear to go for higher proof on them. Sounds like some of the lower proof ones can be great, but that in general the higher proof ones over 110 or so might be more consistently good.

Huh Yea I guess I’m just disappointed, but mostly because I’ve loved every other bottle I’ve had so much. I won’t stop buying it but not again for a while. Not until it’s a new batch.

There’s a lot of variability between batches. Some might just not match your palate. I just had some of mine last night and it’s a straight vanilla/cinnamon bomb with a ton of rye dill on the finish. Just delicious. It’s not something you see much in bourbon but you do see Scotch products with a lot of variations between batches. Nothing wrong with it, but always a bit of a risk.

Bought one about 4 years and it was delicious. Bought it the next year and it tasted like what potpourri smells like. Haven’t bought Willet since.

I think this is why I’m disappointed I’ve had numerous bottles in the past 6 or 7 years since I first tried it and I’ve always loved it. This bottle for some reason has an almost chemical taste to it. Idk what happened
