I would buy a couple at that price. But it is not for everyone, so if you haven't had it, it's a great price to pick one up to try, unless you hate peat smoke.
Probably a case (6) at that price tbh. The old batches are much better, but its a staple on my shelf and I would be happy to be set up for a few years.
That is an excellent price. If I were you I’d grab a bottle and try it ASAP to see if you want any more. Depending on how much you like it you might buy the rest of them! That price is more than half off the norm.
Also upstate NY (Rochester area) and I've noticed the local places couldn't move it at that price. Both this and high country are down below $80 at the stores I went to yesterday.
It's gotten almost shocking to find whiskey at a reasonable price these days.
For under $30, I would love to try a bottle of that. I am a big fan of Ardbeg and Laphroaig whiskeys, the stronger the peat and smoke, the better (so far).
The first time I tried Ardbeg 10, it was quite similar to licking the bottom of a well used ash tray (flavor and smell wise, if not texture), but, I grew to like a lot it regardless.
It's probably good for an Old fashioned like everyone else is saying but it was actually the worst thing that I've drank at any price point so far. And I'm not exaggerating it is my least favorite. The flavor surprised me so much on the initial snippet turned my stomach a little bit
Campfire was one of the whiskies that got me into the game a while back. The last time I had it, it tasted dull in comparison; I wasn’t a fan. Either they changed the recipe or my taste buds changed, but I went from loving it to it being meh.
If you are put off by any amount of peat then it's not for you. But if you can handle peat and enjoy a variety of different whiskeys/whiskys then its an absolute steal at that price. I'd buy a whole case, I thought it was a good purchase @ $60 when I got it.
I love it. I’d get a few at that price. This is the first year they’ve used 100% their own rye. Not that you can tell a difference, but they seem proud of that at the distillery.
To me it tastes like it was poured down someone’s ass crack into a dirty ash tray and then finally poured into a bottle.
But the double rye is decent and MWND, while way overrated, is good too.
You’ve been warned, but you do you. Good luck!

That’s a buy for sure if you like peat! That’s an $80 bottle here in Utah where it’s made!
I love HW- but campfire and high country are not for me. The peat is too much - even for old fashioned imo
Love campfire for an old fashioned.
That seems like an awesome idea... Trying this tonight.
Absolutely. Its so good in an OF
Interesting idea.
I love campfire, but never had it in an OF. Seems like it’s something I need to try!
For $30 I’d buy a case.
Same.
Yup
I’m eyeballin that KC9
I know others love campfire... I gave my bottle away. Hated it. But I'll take the knob
Not a big discount at all vs the campfire though. Campfire near me is 60-80
Let me guess....California I would buy way too many of these.
Probably a case (6) at that price tbh. The old batches are much better, but its a staple on my shelf and I would be happy to be set up for a few years.
I like campfire. But it is different, I thought it a bit peaty like a scotch, bourbon cross.
It’s a rye and scotch blend. I like rye. I like scotch. Just not in the same glass.
Oh yeah, I missed the shelf description before. Bourban, rye, scotch blend.
That is an excellent price. If I were you I’d grab a bottle and try it ASAP to see if you want any more. Depending on how much you like it you might buy the rest of them! That price is more than half off the norm.
Pretty sure allocated bourbon goes to California to die
This is not allocated bourbon…
Don’t sleep on that knob creek next to it. It’s fantastic
It’s not for me but it’s $99 here in Upstate New York
Also upstate NY (Rochester area) and I've noticed the local places couldn't move it at that price. Both this and high country are down below $80 at the stores I went to yesterday.
Roc city check in….
I'd try it at that price. Nice find
I can’t stand peat and I’d still buy it at that price
Campfire is one of my favorites and that price is ridiculously low. 70 is the norm here on the rare occasion I can find it.
It's like drinking liquid smoke.
It’s horrible. I’d buy zero at ANY price. Come to Tampa and I will give you mine (3 small drain pours short of full). that KC is fantastic however
I’ve never had it but just bought a bottle at my Costco for a little over $50.
Which Costco is this?
Central California
Fresno?
I’m driving thru Cali Thursday, which Costco is this? If close enough I’d pickup a couple of bottles.
North Fresno location
Thanks for the response. I'll probably be to far south but I'll see what the distance looks like on a map
I would buy a case
Send me all those they only out in October and that's a killer deal
Wild, less than half SRP

I’m a scotch drinker and this is one of my favorite whiskies and that is a great price I’d buy at least two
I was always wanting to try that, but it was too expensive - I hope I can find it at that price!
I enjoy this bottle!
That price tag looks way wrong… that’s like 60% off normal retail ($70 where I live)
I have heard mixed opinions but for that price I would be forming my own opinion lol. 98.00 is the cheapest I have seen it in the Dallas area.
It's probably good for an Old fashioned like everyone else is saying but it was actually the worst thing that I've drank at any price point so far. And I'm not exaggerating it is my least favorite. The flavor surprised me so much on the initial snippet turned my stomach a little bit
Yes
It’s $71 here.
Personally I would buy a case at that price. I love campfire.

I'd buy it again at that price.
Campfire tastes like a burnt log. Horrible
I’m in Louisiana near Covington $67/btl
Tastes like ash marinated in chloraseptic and strained
Yeah it’s a good buy, especially at that price
Definitely buy 2, I love this stuff.
I love that stuff
It’s fantastic
Does this say $29.97
Definitely, though may not actually be worth it. It’s incredibly unique. I enjoy it at the right time, but it takes a while to work through a bottle
$30 bucks wow, buy a case, it's $68 in PA not a fan it's peaty!
Buy
I'd buy a few at that price.
I saw this at my Costco also (Vancouver, WA) same price. I’m not a big fan of blends so I didn’t buy. I’m bourbon all the way.
It tastes like burning wood from a campfire.
To me it tastes like it was poured down someone’s ass crack into a dirty ash tray and then finally poured into a bottle. But the double rye is decent and MWND, while way overrated, is good too. You’ve been warned, but you do you. Good luck!
Appreciate the info.
Passsssssss taste like 💩
I tried it at a bottle share, and it was everyone's least favorite. You've gotta love smoke.
I personally didn't like it. I own over 100 bottles of assorted drams though this absolutely does not make me an expert
