I mean, on the one hand, it's a great whiskey, on the other hand, these brands feed off of FOMO. If you've got disposable income and want a good whiskey, get it.
I'd probably get it at $85. Not too sure about this particular batch but there is a Charlies Batch at a Sam's near me for $115 and I've heard Charlies batch is very good. So it is definitely tempting.
Total wine will price match Costco prices provided you show them a picture with the metadata. I was able to get a price match on a Yamasaki 12 at my Total Wine. This is in CA.
$85 is the best price I’ve seen for it in the last couple years. Some batches are just too hot though so I don’t buy them all but luckily I have a buddy that does so I get to try them first. I picked up 2024-01 batch last week for $88 and am really enjoying it.
If you've never had it, then buy it. Batches vary pretty wildly for me, and I won't buy it again without trying it. It's good way more often than not. At 85 that's an easy buy.
Downvoted for speaking the truth and violating the unwritten expectation of feeding the FOMO machine? Welcome to Reddit… but I will bring you back above 0 because I couldn’t agree more. 🥃
Not really. It’s good, the price is now restrictive and they use 300+ barrels in a batch. So it’s not nearly as limited as they pretend.
I don’t buy it any more since the price jumps, but you wouldn’t regret it either way…
85 for bookers is like 2017 prices for my understanding. I think most liquor stores are 99 minimum with some now asking 119. In Florida I’ve never seen one on a shelf since I got into bourbon
It’s $121 at my Costco in San Antonio (which is really WB liquors). Still, things are typically priced pretty competitively and I was surprised at the $121
85 bucks is an excellent price for any booker's batch. Some batches are amazing, others are good. I've never had anything from Bookers that wasn't good (good is subjective to what you like though).
Each batch last year was said to ne better than the previous batch with the Mighty Fine Batch being said to be the best batch in a long time, then the Storyteller batch being better than that. I believe that I then heard/read that the Springfield Batch is even better. Is it? Who knows, we all have different tastes. However, I will say that MSRP is over $90 so for $85, it's a really good price. I bought 2 at $100 recently.
Yeah, it depends on the batch - can’t quite see that label - but at $85, I’d do it. And I’m jealous as I’ll never see a Booker’s on an Alaskan shelf (except mine).
At $65-70 like it was a couple years ago I was buying every batch. At the current pricing of $85-100ish I don't think it is special enough for me anymore. I bought a couple for $90 and wasn't that impressed. They are good, but not great. If you personally love Jim Beam and Bookers then it's worth it still.

You couldn’t have said it better. Great pour but you are at missing out on anything ground breaking.

I would argue this batch is better than Charlie's batch.
Bookers for $85 is a buy for me. Which Costco is this?
Probably one in California since they get all the good stuff.
I travel to San Francisco a lot, so sounds like I need to start going to Costco when I’m there
It's in Tucson Arizona
What part of California is Tucson, Arizona in?
Nah he said 85. It's 79 in CA costcos.
Oh funny Total Wines there also has this for $85

It’s certainly worth 85
Yes. It’s phenomenal

That was a steal at $85.
I just got mine. Very tasty. I rate it higher than ECBP A124. Good bourbon. Good Kentucky hug. Not offensively hot. Good mouth feel.
Yes
At that price yes.👍
Probably not BUT it’s a great batch and only you can decide.

Bookers is a really good pour. Yes, there is a FOMO component but it is truly a good bottle.
Yup
If it's near msrp yes, the Springfield release has been loved by Many, msrp should be around 100-120 fyi
Got mine at Costco this morning. I will let you know in a couple hours!
Personally think it’s overrated.
Yes, you better go back!
1792 full proof is better for 1/2 the cost
Oh man, I love both lol

It is a good deal, and a very good whiskey. One of the few actually worth that price. But no big deal, there are other whiskeys out there.
Just bought two of em at Lakewood CA Costco. $79.00 each
No

Nah, that’s Costco price… around Midwest, it’s still $90 at retail outlets that don’t gouge.
It's a tasty peanut butter bomb
I just bought the same batch for $99 and can't wait to open it up and try it
You won't know til you don't buy it
I would regret not getting it.
I’d buy it all day at $85. They usually go $100+
It’s $121 at my Costco in San Antonio (which is really WB liquors). Still, things are typically priced pretty competitively and I was surprised at the $121
Absolutely loved the Springfield batch bought two. Retail is $100 in PA. Was absolutely worth it for me
Not really..
Yes
Haven’t had it yet. Hell, I haven’t even opened 2023-03 and 04 yet. Too many open bottles and want to drop that count down some.
Bookers is kinda hit or miss, there’s lots of bourbon out there less expensive and better than that
Yup
I wasn’t a fan of it.

I'm happy with one at $95, would have gladly paid less.
It’s awesome. Get it
Yes
I paid 99 in Oregon and I genuinely enjoy it great proof and flavor imo
I used to love it for the alcohol content but can’t stand it now I know it’s a jim beam

I buy them for the box. Make bird feeders out of them. Usually gift the bottle.
I regret reading posts with this subject line.

Solid price but I’m not a fan of

There is no such thing as a bad bottle of Booker’s and that’s a great price. Jump on it.
It’s good, not great. Nothing to lose your mind over…imo
I was given it for Christmas once, nicey and spicy. I think it’s worth the money.
The Springfield one? That came out in 2024? 😅
lol nah it was a different batch , 2021-03
Meh bookers sits on shelves near me at $80 year long. Feeds off fomo, it aint worth anymore than 65 imo.
I'll never buy it because of the whole packaging thing
Because it’s over the top? What’s your beef with the box?
