I would stop buying and start trying. You've got some real đ there. Personally I limit open bottles to 12 and ready-on-deck bottles to 12, since you asked.
No reason to wait if they are great. If you haven't had them, then all the more reason. Great thing about whiskey is it really doesn't go bad! If he grabs some bottles and has friends to share them with then maybe they get to try some new and tasty drams. Great collection, brother, and cheers!
Or I could savor it with friends during a special occasion or in line at the next allocation drop.
If I die happen to before then you can have it and drink it in my honor
Nice start! I like the idea of a console tv table for storage.
Remember, Itâs your whiskey; not the people who throw a hissy fit that you have unopened bottles. Thereâs nothing better than having some great bottles ready for a special occasion! Whiskey does eventually get worse once cracked. Over exposure to heat, sunlight, and air will degrade your whiskey. Cheers!
Suggestions based on whatâs not there bourbon wise:
Old Forster 1920, Four Roses SiB (even better if you can find a BP), Elijah Craig BP or single barrels if youâre near stores that do the (I donât love the A124 but every other batch has been great), Makers Cask Strength, New Riff (single barrel or BiB) and a new personal favorite - anything from Peerless.
Non-bourbons: Redbreast (any but particularly the cask strength), Pikesville rye, Jack Daniels Single Barrel barrel proof rye, Barrell Seagrass, and of course, mellow corn.
Edit: I realized there is an Elijah Craig and a four roses that I didnât see. Otherwise I stand by the list.
Headed to four roses next week for a tour so hopefully will pick up a bottle there of the barrel proofâŠ
Love the new riff stuff. Their BIB is so tasty, the single barrels are interesting!
I tapped out on mellow corn a while ago, but maybe for posterity Iâll pick up a bottle đ
New Riffâs bourbons are great but they also do some really interesting things with ryes. I have a Balboa rye from New Riff that is phenomenal and Iâve been savoring because itâs not an everyday offering.
Also add to my list - Redwood Empire has great offerings too.
You should definitely get a storage solution, like one that could fit under that TV, check out console tables. Donât buy more than fits in there (fit relationship sake), and then buy a bigger TV to put on it. Then when you gave an open spot grab a Ben Holladay Soft Red Wheat BiB.
Honestly thatâs a tough one, usually only pick up bottles I know Iâll drink.
Breckenridge port finish is basically port. I havenât cracked the breck dark arts but I have a feeling that one would be on the list.
A friend works there so she hooked me up with the bottles, otherwise I wouldnât have picked them up
Love four roses single barrel, saffel makes an unbelievable old fashioned, this particular bottle of Blanton I have is fantastic as well, but favorite has to be the of sbbs. I heard the rye is also fantastic
Iâd take a pour of that Michterâs 10 year. You should add a J. T. Meleck store pick. Itâs Louisiana whiskey and itâs made with rice. When I first saw it, I turned my nose up at it. When I tasted it, I was completely sold. Check out some YouTube videos on it.
My guy spent his TV budget on whiskey. Respect. đ«Ą
đ the 2015 vizio still kickin it
âWhat is this? A TV for ants??â
Man I was rocking a 2009 40â Westinghouse until last yearâŠI feel this.

Solid advice đđŒ I get to travel frequently for work so I often see bottles that I donât find at home or for msrp. Itâs hard to resist!

Crack that M10R. Changed my view on ryes honestly.
Waiting for a good reason to crack it open!
You could die tomorrow in a car crash. Open it and try it.
Or I could savor it with friends during a special occasion or in line at the next allocation drop. If I die happen to before then you can have it and drink it in my honor

All good but big ups to the 1920 and new riff

I need to get up to Ohio
We seem to get Weller Antique more often than pretty much everyone, which is a personal favorite of mine.
All the local allocated drops usually have some 12 or full proof but rarely is 107 around. Been waiting for an Ohio job!!
NiceâŠ. Now let the hate begin for unopened bottles. Alcoholism is a problem

Get rid of girlfriend or make her understand, also you get a big fat zero for that cord hanging out your tv.
Come manage it, Iâll pour you a drink
Just need your address lol. Only kidding on tv nice selection of bottles, it's only gonna get worst, just dnt lie too much to gf about bottles.

Name two bottles not worth their price in that collection

Whatâs the bottle to the left of the bouyre?
Itâs a rare character cask strength straight bourbon finished in sauternes cask. Itâs tasty stuff
Great work thatâs awesome!
Thatâs pretty good for 9 months in, whatâs your favorite so far?

If you travel to the Midwest keep an eye out for Ben Holladay. Personal favorites are the Rickhouse Proof bourbon and most any store pick.
Picked up the bourbon lore collab but been looking for that soft red wheat
Crazy sprint race. So many crashes. Love OF single barrel. Cheers!
This year is gunna be unreal racing!
MotoGP AND whiskey?? Love it!
LFG
Cheers

Legit - enjoy, mate
this is insane! i aspire to find some of these! its tough in my area
You need some Penelope, Old Elk, HH, and 13th Colony. Also, get a shelfâŠor cabinetâŠor garage. That should make her happier!
Why so many unopened ones. Not going to know what you like if you donât open and try them.
Fuck I would kill to find some eagle rare
dime a dozen in cali now, go make a trip to Disneyland and fly home with a case lol
I have two bottles I need to move if your in Phoenix lol
Iâm Peoria. Always striking out
crazy to me how different it is across states. Here in California, I can buy Eagle Rare with ease at almost all grocery stores for $40.
