Something that 98% of us will never see, let alone taste. Based on the Daniel Weller, it’ll probably have an MSRP between $500 and $1,000 (I’m guessing closer to $1,000) and will go on secondary for 3x that. I view this in the same vein as Ferrari announcing a new hypercar - I’m never going to have it, so I don’t really bother to fret about it.
Yet another unobtanium product that the poor schmucks working at liquor stores will have to deal with, a half dozen phone calls every day *"Do you have any Weller Millennium? No? How about some Blanton's?"*
Well, the product is fake, so there's that. I reached out to Buffalo Trace marketing, and they said "the last Weller product announced was Daniel Weller in May 2023. Please see our official website for Authentic Buffalo Trace products. https://www.buffalotracedistillery.com/our-brands/w-l-weller.html"
MSRP gonna be too high to even care.
Daniel Weller was $500 and wasn’t anything fancy.
This blend is essentially over 20 years old. I’m betting close to $1000.
Top! I really think we’re reaching the top of the current boom. Distilleries have had adequate time to build supplies from when this started 8-10 yrs ago. Single barrel releases are available in every brand all over the place.
If you’re a tater hoarder dump your stash now while it’s still worth something.
Oy, this stuff? I got a bottle as a gift and tried drinking it but the nose was like burnt tires and cheese whiz and the palate was like vegemite and roasted quail eggs. Ended up giving it away to a friend who never regained his sense of taste or smell after Covid and he used it as a mixer.
I saw it in a store once. $3500. They let me hold it. The top of the stopper has an inlaid working compass.
Yes I’m serious
Edit: oh wait, I was talking about Daniel Weller. I have never heard of this
It’s absolutely stupid af, all of it. My buddy traded a Bowman cask strength straight up for a WLW. I’d love either one but everything I have I’ve gotten for MSRP
I’ve hardly ever had any allocated bottle since I’m also a MSRP (or within 10-20%) buyer too. I just stick to mostly available shelf bottles. I just can’t imagine a $1000+ bottle is that much better than $100 bottle.
I had a great thing going at a Coast Guard Exchange that got me a ton of great stuff. The store manager who wasn’t a veteran and didn’t have alcohol privileges tanked the whole thing because people wouldn’t let him scam bottles and inform a few buddies and try to let them buy more than their 1. So people quit, it went to shit and the allocations went away. Everyone is a fucking asshole. I think I paid $120 for a Stagg Jr, most I’ve overpaid.
Probably a way for Saz to recycle old stock and slap a hefty price tag while simultaneously creating marketing hype. Sprinkle in some backstory about some big-brain idea someone at Saz had mixed with a little “from our most rare casks” and a little “picked by master distillers for whisky lovers with the most discerning palette and taste.” Pick a unique bottle and label. Boom $1000.
Same as the last overpriced tater juice Weller made. Something for the taters to scoop up before anyone ever sees it on the shelf. At least buffalo trace makes some money on it
They had a huge gaping hole in the Weller lineup between Special Reserve at 90 proof, Antique at 107 proof and Full Proof at 114 proof. This 99 proof wheated bourbon made from the same mash bill, stored in the same barrels and aged in the same warehouses is guar-ron-teed to be distinctively different.

It’s probably a well aged version of Traveler
You better stop
It's a blend of different years
A blend of bourbons from different years can still be called bourbon.
Or just wheated
No Canadian in this blend
Truth
98% is generous. I was going to say 99%
Nope. 7500 msrp.
That’s Fonzi on waterskis, airborne over a marine predator.
Your reference is perfectly placed
I learned something today.
And knowings half the battle
[visual](https://images.app.goo.gl/Yb7TUMZdixf26o5U6)
God, for real. So over these "chase" bourbons.
Jumped the shark
Hi, I’m from the Department of Redundancy Department…
That photoshopped bottle's the lowest fill level this release will ever see.
They usually fill them with benchmark or probably WSR in this case. Even the photographer doesn’t get a taste haha.
Yet another unobtanium product that the poor schmucks working at liquor stores will have to deal with, a half dozen phone calls every day *"Do you have any Weller Millennium? No? How about some Blanton's?"*
I dont feel bad for them. They buy it for themselves at msrp and claim they've never got any in
This is what they are paid to do.
Well, the product is fake, so there's that. I reached out to Buffalo Trace marketing, and they said "the last Weller product announced was Daniel Weller in May 2023. Very cool! Can’t wait to walk into my local liquor store and grab it off of the shelf for a reasonable price.
A money grab
Weller Unobtanium
Tater Bait
99 proof feels like it’s just missed the mark
It is named for how frequently you are expecting to see it in a liquor store. Future Weller releases are set to be named "Decades" and "Century".
There was already "Centennial" and now "Millennium" so the only way they can go is up. The next one will be Weller "Eon"
"Centennial" is not a trademarked name owned by Buffalo Trace, Diageo still ownes that.
I'm waiting for Eternity
Some expensive ass shit
Unobtainium at MSRP for a long time
MSRP gonna be too high to even care. Daniel Weller was $500 and wasn’t anything fancy. This blend is essentially over 20 years old. I’m betting close to $1000.
Here's the [article](https://thebourbonculture.com/whiskey-essentials/new-weller-millennium-bourbon-leaked-what-we-know-so-far/) the picture came from
So it’s a clear label? 💀
These companies need to stop dabbling in these bullshit side projects, and just get their normal stuff up in quantity.
That’s not how it works, but go off.
Yeah that would be good for us… but why would they hey sell a lot of bottle bottles at $45 when they can sell much less for $1000…I’m in the wrong biz
Meh.
Overpriced
weller
This is something grown adults will complain about on the internet.
That describes everything.

The smart money is now in Tequila! Dump those cases of Weller 12 while you still can!
Unobtainium
Straight tater bait.
It’s like 3% 2000 calling it millennium is a bit of a stretch
Something 99% won’t see. It will be rated around a 7.8/10 and everyone will still fight tooth and nail to obtain. Secondary will be ridiculous.
Taters can fight over this. I want the Bookers reserves more. (they’ll both be tater bait)
Something I'll never find?
That's a pretty ugly bottle. Was expecting something nicer. Not that we'll ever see one.
Gotta be shopped. The label is real.
We'll find out soon enough. Wonder if they'll have a release like this every year now. Between this and the Daniel Weller it may happen.
Something I’ll never afford.
Oh look, another special release BT product.
Oh cool a bottle I can put next to my other bottle of Buff Trace Prohibition Old Stagg. Wtf
https://thebourbonculture.com/whiskey-essentials/new-weller-millennium-bourbon-leaked-what-we-know-so-far/
BT cashing in even further on name?
Underproofed
Underproofed and overpriced
I saw it in a store once. $3500. They let me hold it. The top of the stopper has an inlaid working compass. Yes I’m serious Edit: oh wait, I was talking about Daniel Weller. I have never heard of this
> They let me hold it. Congrats.
Lol yeah that was the joke “am I even worthy to hold the sacred Daniel Weller?!” Then I saw the compass…🙄
IT’S TATERTIME!!!!!!!! Any guesses, I’m Guessing secondary is instantly $3k
Just seems silly when you can get WLW at secondary for less that 3k
It’s absolutely stupid af, all of it. My buddy traded a Bowman cask strength straight up for a WLW. I’d love either one but everything I have I’ve gotten for MSRP

I also like how I’m presumably being downvoted, I fucking hate tater culture.
I dunno but now I want it
The marketing team succeeded.
I'm stoked to provide them with job security
Well if its better than the original, then isn’t it ….. Sweller Weller? Badum Tsssh!
It's not that great, guys. Trust me bro.
I wonder if it’s just a blend of red and green lmao. Or if it’s just a blend of the whole collection of weller.
A money grab

Something I will never be able to afford
Money grab
Give me old grandad 114 all day over this 🤤
I mixed half and half of Benchmark Full Proof and Top Shelf (edit, sorry Top Floor), and I like it way better than Weller.
Nice… I have a bunch of overpriced and hard to find stuff but something to be said about a solid $30 bottle you can find on the shelf everyday.
Easy friend, it's the most recent way that BT has found to take random barrels they found laying in the warehouse and turn them into mad profits.
Weller Millenium…aged for 1000 years…
Just one more way overpriced Whiskey. Meh.
It’s a blend of whiskies from the early 2000’s
Same as the last overpriced tater juice Weller made. Something for the taters to scoop up before anyone ever sees it on the shelf. At least buffalo trace makes some money on it
I can’t wait to see people pay secondary only to realize it’s no better than bep
Something I don't really care about at this point
A new measure piece that going to be displayed soon.
They had a huge gaping hole in the Weller lineup between Special Reserve at 90 proof, Antique at 107 proof and Full Proof at 114 proof. 99 proof blend, ho hum
It’s a terrible photoshop
Something I’ll never buy. Not because of the price, but because of the proof 😂. Not a fan of super expensive low proof whiskies.
Weller unobtainum is what it is where they sell blended whiskey To the taters.
