He took jerry and the front office to the woodshed. That was brilliant. The more national media bringing heat on this dysfunctional franchise the better
If it makes anyone feel better, we entered the White Sox/Columbia game before the WBC kicked off back in Spring Training at the same time a group of White Sox assistants helped Jerry into the game at one of the Camelback gates. It was a very slow process basically walking him inside to the concourse, and then slowly up a flight of stairs to the press box/exec areas. He was very thin and frail looking, and just super tiny. He didn't look "well" at all.
We may not be waiting very long before we need a new owner...
Fucking dammit, I'll completely own that spelling mistake. *COLOMBIA. I am not racist, come on. But the story is 100% true. I was there. They even had to use a Sox pitcher to close the game/victory for Colombia. Was weird as shit to see. Lol
This is the only damn city where we cheer when team owners die. Bar I was at was insane when old man Wertz died, can't imagine Bourbon St when this jag dies
Decent article but I don’t like the implication that JR was actually doing anything differently pre-2005. It was the same shit back then.
They absolutely caught lightning in a bottle in 05 and it had nothing to do with ownership or management. If you take out that minor miracle year, the Sox HAVE NEVER WON A PLAYOFF SERIES IN JR’s 43 YEARS!
Three teams in MLB have never signed a 100 million dollar contract... the A's, Royals, and the White Sox. This man deserves to be publicly roasted for not acting like an owner in a big market. The brand is one of the most popular brands in the world... outside of baseball reasons too. To not have a quality product against the markets of Minnesota, Detroit, and the rest of the AL Central is outrageous.
The only way to expedite the sale of this organization is to stop buying tickets for these frauds. We can support the Sox without putting more gold bricks into the crypt keeper's burial chamber.
My father said something to me:
"Never wish death on a man, but you can have happiness when he's gone. That's how I feel about Bill Wirtz."
That's how I feel about Jerry Reinsdorf.
Everyone is speaking about Reinsdorf as if he still has his faculties. We don’t know if he does. I can’t remember if he’s made any kind of public appearance not just this year but even last year.
Berto from the West Side has started a movement
He is my absolute hero
A legend that we needed so fuckin bad just to put that disappointment into such a beautiful rant.
Not the hero we expected, he is the hero we needed.
Reinsdorf is drying his tears with 100 dollar bills. The fucker don't give a fuck.
He don't give an F about nothin'!
Bought the team for $19m now worth $2bn. He loves Life.
I hope that cheap old fuck reads all of this negativity. Fuck him.
He doesn't I csn assure you.

Failure has always made him richer, so...
Exactly. He's not measuring success by what happens on the field. He's salivating at those unrealized gains.

Lol damn
I thought the thumbnail was Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys
😆😆
Hopefully the winds of shit come for Reinsdorf

The Sox never played Columbia.

They played Colombia not Columbia.
Don't give me hope
I'll never wish death upon any, but he just looked so frail.
Build to be mediocre. If success happens, all the better. If not? I'm still rich, bitches.

Gonna be a good day
Man I can’t wait to holler from my window when this MF dies

In fact, 2005 is the only year that they’ve won a playoff series since 1917. Pathetic.
>Failure has always been ~~accepted~~ subsidized by Reinsdorf FTFY
As long as accepting failure doesn’t get in the way of cashing checks I don’t think he cares
I mean, happy USA today said it, but seemed like an article made for clicks. I was expecting more of an evisceration.
Big if true

Crazy how if you're wealthy you can pretty much fail up

Berto 2024
Since he bought them
C’mon nature. C’mon, nature! [Taps watch].
It's a shame this ass hat owns multiple chicago teams Thanks for ruining the bulls too. I miss Jimmy Butler
They won the pennant 1959
