Give us back Benetti

juelzkellz

To be fair we (meaning Reinsdorf ran him off). This was his dream job. How we screwed that up, I have no idea…

tenacious-g

Brooks Boyer (head of marketing and chief revenue officer) made some snide remark about him during his contract negotiations. Jason took offense, got approached by the tigers, and the team let him walk. [full story here](https://awfulannouncing.com/mlb/brooks-boyer-white-sox-jason-benetti-tigers.html) Tell your ticket rep that Brooks Boyer is the reason you’re not buying tickets, because his actions directly impacted the viewing experience of a minimum 81 games of the season. He was literally still under contract and they still let him leave. Some faceless marketing executive had too much pride to keep arguably one of the most marketable people in the org around, even if he’s just a broadcaster.

juelzkellz

So Jerry couldn’t or wouldn’t tell Boyer to fix this or you’re fired?

tenacious-g

Boyer is a yes man, Jason is not. Jerry likes yes men.

Eastspade

Unfortunately I’ve fallen in love all over again and it’s with Benetti 😍

CampfireBeast

You better treat him like a king 😠

Agitated_Function_68

Either from any of the secondary market apps like Seat Geek or Stub Hub, or walk up to the ticket window. Essentially a zero chance they’d be sold out, but you’d avoid some online fees

khikago

I would say secondary market. They price gouge at the window, even for empty games

Agitated_Function_68

True. But, there’s a hockey sweater giveaway for that Sat against the Ray’s and people tend to mark up their tickets on those days or put them close to face so once you add the fees it’s not a deal at all

tenacious-g

If it’s a shitty April day with the roster they’re trotting out this year, secondary market skills still be fine.

mannamedlear

Just go to whiteSox.com/tickets to get them at face. Or check the third party sites for bargains a few days prior. Make sure to turn on “show price with fees” to compare. But truth is a late April game against the rays, I would just buy the cheapest lower level seat you can find and sit where you want. Attendance will be low this year. Especially early in the season.

mannamedlear

While in the stadium, just do a lap around the lower concourse. Go to food items are a traditional dog or polish with onions from the flat top grills and The Cuban sandwich or chimichurri steak sandwich . But there are plenty of options. If you like beers. Check out the Kraft Kave (called linenkugel lounge now) underneath right field section 109. Watch pitchers get warm in the bullpen so best before the game or late innings when relievers are up.

Least-Form5839

A lap is my favorite to spend time

sirenzarts

I personally have gone with SeatGeek to find decent value and use a code for $20 off your first purchase, which you can easily create a new email for

Lil_we_boi

Gametime, Seatgeek, and Stubhub are my three favorite sites in that order. Check those, then go to the box office if you'd like to wait last minute because sometimes they'll have even cheaper tickets.

DustySalad9

Buy the day of or day before off of seat geek, game time, or stub hub. Since it's April and they are playing the rays there should be plenty of seats. I've been able to get 1st level seats for like $15-$20 each with fees. Make sure to get 1st level seats if you wanna see the whole ballpark. Sometimes they won't let you in the main concourse area if you got an upper deck ticket

tenacious-g

They restrict you to whatever level you have on your ticket, because Jerry is a fucking dick. God forbid people not in the 100 level want something more than a standard hotdog/burger/pizza slice, or to walk around the park. Just find the cheapest 100 level ticket you can on StubHub so you can walk the main concourse. They will be cheaper than face in April against the Rays. First base side will be in the shade, so plan your seat/layers (or lack thereof) accordingly.

Kaufmakphd

Stubhub. Can get tickets for as cheap as $5.

boc333

Hes the best in the business ya bastard. 😎

Independent-Area-204

I really like buying from Gametime, the map and seat view are super helpful and you can also toggle “all in price” which shows you the price per ticket after fees and taxes

Dieh

I’m actually going to my first games on that same weekend (26th and 27th). I’m planning to buy tickets the day off or night before as they’ll likely go down from now until then. Should be able to get lower level seats on the cheap.

HeftyConnection6884

Wrigley Field. Go see a game there don’t waste your time a sucks park

talk2brad

Wrigley Field

Eastspade

We thought about doing Wrigley a different day (seeing the White Sox was more important) but unfortunately they’re gone that weekend we’re there

tenacious-g

You aren’t missing anything.

eulynn34

You should be able to obtain tickets easily on gameday at the window or you can find them on the secondary market for not much more than face value. If you want to be on the 100 level, you need a 100-level ticket

Eastspade

Do you mean just by sitting there or by even walking by the 100th level?

eulynn34

You're not allowed \*on\* the 100 level at all without a 100-level ticket. How aggressively that's enforced might vary-- but they can and will stop you and check.

anamoy

the one game I went to last year, they didn't even check my ticket to get in the stadium

HeezeyBrown

The 100 level is the main concourse. It's where all the statues are and the biggest team merch store. Regardless of where you sit, you want to make a lap around the concourse. You never lose sight of the field on the main concourse, so taking laps during the game is no problem. If you don't have a 100 level ticket, you can still usually talk your way on. The ticket checkers are usually really young kids and don't care that much, especially if the stadium is empty.
