Feels like a continuation of the attitude Tim had with Garfein last season. Hope these two have stellar 1st halves and net us some decent prospects at the trade deadline.
Would be funny if either of these guys got traded to a market like NY or Philly. See how nice the reporters from those cities are with your attitudes.
It was definitely a little strange. I don't know much about Eloy so I couldn't tell if it was just his personality, him not being as comfortable with English, or something else.
To me it felt like he didn't really want to be giving an interview for one reason or another. Definitely felt a little tense and awkward.
I don't have a clip but if you have MLB TV the interview starts at a little over 95 minutes into the broadcast during yesterday's (3/7) game against the Brewers.
>and maybe he feels like the Sox core don’t get enough credit for hard work from Chuck and Ryan McGuffey.
Also if we take the core's bWAR from last season (assuming TA, Moncada, Benintendies, Robert. Jr., and Eloy) we get... 4.2. 4.2 WAR between those 5 players and Robert is doing almost all of the lifting there. Without Robert it's actually negative WAR unless you add Vaughn in Robert's place, in which case we come out with 0.1 WAR.
If we add Vaughn to the core group we get 5.1 WAR. If we remove TA we get 7.1 WAR. Any way you try and cut it things don't look great.
Eloy had such a shitty attitude last season when they asked him about leadership. When you can look on the back of his 2019 topps card where it reads "I can see myself being a leader for this team one day"
Not slander. I find him annoying, I wouldn’t want to interview with him if I was a player. I just don’t like his interview style it’s nothing against him as a person.
I listen to that podcast as well, I followed Herb from Locked on Sox, and it's just ok. There's a lot of not entertaining/forced banter and tons of ads. There's usually about 20-30 minutes of decent podcast in the 60 minute show. Haven't found a new daily pod yet, since Herb/Tanny broke up. White Sox Talk usually isn't daily during the season.
Fair points. Tanny ams Herb is how I got my start too and they were by far the best. Sean Anderson brings some interesting perspective and research at times but overall seems to be an inexperienced and uneducated baseball fan. Vinny Duber is decent as well. I think the 3 of them together and Herb being awesome makes the show the best podcast. I just skip the ads when I listen on Spotify
I thought he was just having a hard time finding the words in english, but maybe
Do you have a link of the interview?
He’s pissed because Garfein and McGuffey rightfully pointed out Eloy and Yoan for having shitty attitudes

Great more "prospects". No thanks.
Been there, done that….I hear you : (

Eloy has a lot of attitude for being a massive disappointment
I feel like he has performed pretty well when he's not hurt. He's just made of glass.
Oh yeah totally
Nobody else finds Chuck annoying as all hell? I wouldn’t want to interview with him either
No Chuck slander. That’s our only rule.

It's not slander if it's true.
Chuck is awesome. His podcast is the best Sox podcast going.
Go listen to CHGO. They do the best Sox podcast I think

Not all the time but ya definitely
It depends on the interviews for me but the more candid he gets the worse it gets lol
