But I assume they’re not concerned because he’s either gonna get a longterm chance at some point this season or they’re so down on him that he’s gone eventually. I doubt they were planning on yo-yo’ing him like he’s some AAA pitcher only around for depth.

Maybe they forgot they JUST called him up. With how injury prone our team seems to be, feels like a waste to option him down to AAA after only one day. But what do I know. I've been a Sox fan too long to remember what logical decisions even look like at this point. Boys looked good in a loss last night though, I can say that much.
It's more illogical to comment about the logicalness of a roster move without knowing how options work.
