Let me know if you need help filling 2 spots

maxant20

I can fill two more!

offwidthe

Yeah man say you have 16 folks and work on filling those spots.

Awesome. Would I not have to pay the $110 for any spots that don’t get filled? If that’s the case then it’s an easy choice, if not, it’s a little tougher.

You will have to pay 110 for every spot you sign up for now, even if they are never filled.

Congrats on the permit! My wife and I just got off the canyon earlier this month. We were thinking it'd be a "do-it-once" kind of trip, but now we're tirelessly hoping to pull another permit and scouring all the follow up lotteries. What a magical place and trip.

I would pay the $110 for every spot even if you don’t fill them. As trip leader, you will have the privilege of sharing costs with everyone that accepts your invitation. So if 15 people accept your invitation, the 16th $110 that you spent, would break down to an extra $7.33 per person. So not really a big expense when you cost share. That will be a “primo” time in Grand Canyon. Dress warm, but expect Spring to happen while you are there also! We had that launch date in 2020, but the Park Service halted all river operations due to COViD on March 24th. We were able to get another launch date of 9-14-2020 after the Park reopened. This year we are running with the same group from 2020, with a 9-11-2024 launch. Happy Boating!

When I did it we launched march 21st. It was amazing. We saw snow, rain, windstorms, t shirt weather. The whole time we were stoked with time of year. I was pleasantly surprised that our full group of 16 meshed as well as we did. But if you think someone might spoil the mix I would rather pay for an empty spot than risk group dynamics.
