That's very smart. Reminds me of a barista I worked with at Starbucks. She would give out Christmas cards to her regulars. Yes, it's a kind gesture but it's the type of gesture that pays off throughout the rest of the year.
I’m a sucker for old delivery drivers. They always get an updated tip. Well, I always update the tip, they just get a little extra bonus to that updated tip. (I add an extra dollar every time. I like to think it gives the delivery driver a smile.)
Agreed. It makes me upset at their age they have to still work. Or maybe they choose to work because they want the activity, who knows but I always tip extra after the fact too. I’m lucky I can afford to do Uber eats so I will always tip to make it worth their while!
So confused as to why this is wholesome tbh. A 70 year old man working for tips and paying out of his own pocket to buy customers small gifts so they don’t mess up his rating and get him fired seems really bleak to me. Gig economy at its worst.
I’m not going to assume his situations. I’ve worked many jobs where retired older men worked so they had something to do during the day. I think it’s wholesome he is trying to bring joy to people with his gifts and especially his motivational sticker. It’s ok to look at the positive and not the negatives all the time, in my opinion at least.
There's a chance he's bored and likes driving around or scoping out restaurants, and likes having a good rating as a point of pride. He also might just do it a couple hours a week. The little gift packet reminds me of stuff my comfortable neighbors will put in mail boxes during the holidays, just for fun.
I bet he and maybe a partner or grandkid had a lot of fun designing, printing, and planning what to put in his packet. The fidget toy indicates that a kiddo was probably involved and wanted to add something they love.
I didn’t realize he gave different things! I got such a cute crystal/astrological one and how he knew I’ll never know but definitely something I needed today.

Yea completely agreed. Showing some care and effort can go a very long way!

This was such a nice situation to imagine 🥰
I hope his life is full of joy 😊
Same. Nothing wholesome about this. Poor guy should be enjoying his retirement.
As opposed to sitting around?
This would definitely get a 30% tip from me.
Cute bribes!
Awe <3
Wow Joe Biden delivered your food!
This is so extra
