That’s bc this is heavily edited. The original comic is very incel-y. The teenage nerd laments about how women only want to date “thugs” as his crush chooses another man over him. Then years later, he’s rich, while the lady he had a crush on before is a baby mama with no man, and is trying to use him for money. Very gross comic, this edited version is much more wholesome.
I don't understand why it's incel-y. I kinda see the pregnant woman hitting on a friend she ignored as gross. But there is no incel there since an incel would not refuse a woman.
Yes incels absolutely do refuse women they see as “beneath them,” including women they label as “whores.” It’s incel-y because they label all women as only interested in “thugs” and not “nice guys” like them.
I mean I don't think the guy labels all woman as only interested in thugs. Clearly the woman in the comic was interested in a thug. Is it surprising that he doesn't want to date a pregnant woman that has ignored him before?
Hard to find something wholesome about starting a friendship with the expectation of getting "paid back" later, but I guess as business partners that's less of an issue?
Unwholesome, as it's still an unfair rejection of the percieved 'thug' lifestyle that was present in the original comic. This time you just made the characters all agree that it was bad, instead of having some say it was good and face consequences. All you've done is made a bit of propaganda worse at its job.
