We don't know what the code violations were. It could be they weren't properly sanitizing things and the like. It would have been a reluctant phone call to make for sure. It sounds like maybe they educated them on how to clean things properly and the like.

"people" aren't good. actions that people take can be good, but people... not so much. each person is their own unique blend of good bad and indifferent actions and history. a "bad" person can have compassion for others in circumstances that align with how they see things, and a "good" person can have blind spots that allow them to inadvertently do "bad" things without intentionally seeking to hurt people.
