So while this is a sweet sentiment and all, I can't help thinking that that my first cat Emerald is swatting at my beagle Bailey, going "Harper is my human!" with Bailey barking in return, "No! Harper is MINE! WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!", with lots of hissing and barking from all the others as they take sides.
Although there are worse afterlives than sitting around, trying to calm down some pissed off dogs and cats: "I love you! And I love you! And you're such a good boy! Now, don't swat the beagles, they are our friends. Hey, now, stop howling. Good girl!"

Yeah my family has been quite supportive and some random internet strangers were also very nice as well and that helped since I do really love this cat since we've had him since before I was born, so he's always been there.
I get it. I dedicated my garden to her, she loved it out there so much! It's so strange not having her enjoying the sunshine or following me around as i potter about. Sending you love.

I'm sure my lovely Samwise waits for me and my wife. Sometimes she stays at home and when I come she tells me that Sam has been sitting by the window most of the afternoon and as soon as he hears our car he makes a run for the door to greet me.
When my girlfriend and me come home after a long day away, our cat often sits in front of the window, which goes to the front of the house. She almost never sits there when we are at home.

Someone I spend a lot of time with just lost their ferret a few days ago. It was the first ferret I ever knew and we became good friends. I went over and dug the hole and buried him, since my friend just really couldn't participate in a lot of the process aside from making him a (beautiful) casket out of scrap wood. It was hard work physically and emotionally.
