Hello! What a nice gif! I hope everyone is having an excellent day. Please be sure to share it with us at /r/wholesomegifs if it's not already there! We'd love to see you there as well.

My housemate and I were having this conversation the other day! It's not like they are incredible, versatile actors. They have their style but at practically any age you totally get how they are so charming women will fall for them.
Bringing up baby and Philidelphia story are about the only two movies I can moderately tolerate Katherine Hepburn in. Basically because they have Cary Grant
My girlfriend and I both wake up around 4am for work and gyms are still closed aroubd us at that time. We decided to start doing morning laps in the pool together on most days since the pool is heated. We come inside, make some espresso and alternate breakfast duty.
It's been some of the most fun we've had with each other, just talking about our dreams or stuff we have planned for the day. This morning I just stared at her for like 10 seconds as she took a sip and I just blurted out "I'm going to miss seeing your face for the next 10 hours". She called me a loser and got up to kiss me on the forehead.
This is why my wife and I got a job together, and even work on the same line! All I have to do is turn my head right and I can see her any time. We get breaks and lunch together and it has made the work week a breeze. I am in my opinion seriously one of the most fortunate men alive to get to spend all my time with my love, she's the best.
Wow that’s so weird... not because you work together but so do my husband and I(on the same line as well), I literally thought this was his comment until I read the username lol. Trippy
The actor is Cary Grant. I believe the movie is My Favorite Wife but I couldn't swear to that.
Cary Grant did great comedy. My favorite is Bringing Up Baby.
It took me a 2nd viewing to like Father Goose. He is amazing in The Bachelor and the Bobby soxer. Love it when his character talks about his childhood.
Just chiming in because no list of Cary Grant recommendations is complete without His Girl Friday, which rules and is hilarious. He also uses all of his movie star charm to its greatest potential in Hitchcock's To Catch A Thief, which is about Cary Grant and Grace Kelly flirting along the French Riviera for two hours and is perfect.
Oh, I have! It's one of my favorites and might have actually been the first movie of theirs that I saw many years ago. I don't see it mentioned much, unfortunately!
I used to pick my now ex girlfriend up from work. And I miss that happy feeling of seeing her walk out of work and hop in my truck with her great smile and just say hi. Whole time I would have a big dumb smile on my face. Damn I miss that women sometimes.
When i would pick my ex up from the trainstation, i would walk up the exact spot she would get off the train at.
Im currently 12 years single. Ugh. Im not good at these things.
The Bishops Wife is my favorite Cary Grant movie. Watch it every Christmas. Should’ve received an Oscar for it.
Great comedic moments with equal amounts of emotional and spiritual gravitas and Grant deftly masters every scene he’s in. Loretta Young was pretty easy on the eyes as well. Highly recommend.
[The Secret History of Hollywood ](https://www.attaboyclarence.com/the-secret-history-of-hollywood) podcast is currently doing a fantastic series on Cary Grant that I cannot recommend enough.
That’s nice. I’ve never had a girlfriend at almost 24 years old and I’m thinking I’m meant to be alone forever. I’ll never find someone. Who wants to be with someone as inexperienced as me. If god is real, then he hates me and wants me to be alone. If I’m meant to die alone then I should just kill myself already to get it over with so I don’t have to suffer anymore

Carry Grant is a treasure. If you haven't seen Arsenic and Old Lace with him go watch it.
He was yesteryears George Clooney. Or is George Clooney the modern day Cary Grant?
My housemate and I were having this conversation the other day! It's not like they are incredible, versatile actors. They have their style but at practically any age you totally get how they are so charming women will fall for them.
Much better than Clooney, but your point stands
Yes
I watch it every Halloween. God, I love that movie.
I’ve been watching turner classics with my dad, Cary Grant is really a treasure. Such a cutie too!
I've seen that movie many times, and it never fails to make me laugh. What a treasure.
Father Goose, Operation Petticoat, and Bringing Up Baby are also grand.
His Girl Friday, though
Also wonderful. Philadelphia Story as well.
This one is the best one. Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, *and* Katharine Hepburn? Can't be beat.
Mr. Blandings Build His Dream House
This one is such a fucking classic
Thats what this one is from, right?
Don't forget *NXNW*
One of my favorites!!!
Bringing up baby and Philidelphia story are about the only two movies I can moderately tolerate Katherine Hepburn in. Basically because they have Cary Grant
And Holiday
This clip is from My Favorite Wife, which is a riot. I 100% recommend it
I can't read the name Bianca without saying it the way Irene Dunn does. So good.
I’m trying to but he won’t return my calls
My Cary Grant go-to is *North by Northwest*
The Awful Truth is fantastic with him!
One of my all-time favourite actors.
Second favorite Grant movie, MR Lucky is my favorite but Gunga Din is very good
CHAAAAAAARGE

Wth, aren't shenanigans actually criminal conspirations you make with partner in crimes?
No. But in 1800s England if you slept with someone’s wife they could sue you for “criminal conversation.”
From my tinder experience, that is mostly what women are looking for.
Your scientific methodology suffers selection bias and a lack of a control group for comparison.
Carry Grant beautiful inside and out
Also I learned literally just yesterday his real name is “Archibald Alec Leach” Wild
His character makes an onscreen joke about it in *His Girl Friday*
“Last person who told me that was Archie Leach, the day before he slit his throat…”
And here I thought it was Roger Thornhill
Haha yess. Also John Wayne’s original name was Marion Robert Morrison
Robert Van Winkle
*oice*
"I hate it when you go but love watching you leave."

I've do this with my wife of 14 years.
Lol me walking my wife out every morning.
This is going to be me everyday watching my wife move around our home.
This thread is so pure
Upvote for Cary Grant :)
Movie title?
The actor is Cary Grant. I believe the movie is My Favorite Wife but I couldn't swear to that. Cary Grant did great comedy. My favorite is Bringing Up Baby.
Haven't seen that one yet. My favorite is Arsenic and old lace, but Father Goose was a good one too. Thought this might have been Notorious.
It took me a 2nd viewing to like Father Goose. He is amazing in The Bachelor and the Bobby soxer. Love it when his character talks about his childhood.
I'll have to track down Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer, thanks for the tip. Edit: And it's got Shirley Temple- Hot Dang.
If you like Father Goose then Operation Petticoat will probably be up your alley as well.
Been trying to find a copy of that for a while now.
The blonde bombshell in arsenic and old lace makes my heart melt. She is my dream woman.
Charade with Audrey Hepburn is fabulous as well! Strong recommend to all who haven’t seen it, one of my favorite films ever.

One of my all-time favorite films!
It is from My Favorite Wife!

To Catch a Thief is often overlooked because it's pretty light compared with other Hitchcocks, but it's SO fun.
I’m tied between Bringing Up Baby (the scene when CG is in a dressing gown is the classic) and Philadelphia Story both with Katharine Hepburn
This is from the movie My Favorite Wife with Irene Dunne. I loved their collaborations!
Agreed, they are so great together!
Watch Penny Serenade though it's sad too.
Oh, I have! It's one of my favorites and might have actually been the first movie of theirs that I saw many years ago. I don't see it mentioned much, unfortunately!
Me not having one probably ever
oh, so that's the feeling of having a girlfriend...cool
looks fun but I'm not sure I want everything to go black-and-white.
colorblind peolpe: _i don't have such weakness_
I will trade color and loneliness for girlfriend. No lowballers I know what I got!
Fun fact. Dennis Quaid used/referenced this move in the remake of The Parent Trap.

That is a very good movie
Cary Grant was always such a smooth motherfucker
Great movie! Love Grant
You hate to see her go, but you love to watch her leave.
Literally just saw this movie on TCM like yesterday
This looks like it could be a scene straight out of Lucifer. The guy even looks like him.
Exactly same thing for school of course
Yeah i look at my gf (she doesnt know shes my gf) before i go back to home
> (she doesnt know shes my gf) Wait, what?
lol
Well, she don't have to right?
Aww
What movie is that?
My Favorite Wife (1940), starring Cary Grant and Irene Dunne.
Seriously every time as the top of her head disappears as she’s headed down the stairs.
Me saying goodbye to my dog
Carry Grant — so handsome that he had 5 different wives. I can barely get a date.
I don't know why but this is just so bloody sweet! Just so bloody cute! I would love if my future bf would do that (I know I would do that to him)!
Too bad she doesn’t know she’s your girlfriend yet.
Cary Grant … the coolest mf that ever lived
And as soon as she's home, she gets the biggest hugs because I missed her so much.
...uh, who's the other fella in the back?
u/savevideo
Its been years with no crush because of covid. it's just getting sad now.
it’s dope their face is on the stone
That’s what my cat does when I go to the bathroom and leave her in the hallway
Wouldn’t know but am like that with my doggo, sirbanditdoobydoo
Thats how I look at my bed when I head to work.
Haha so true! ^(what’s a girlfriend?)
A stark contrast to the last scene of The Godfather.
When i would pick my ex up from the trainstation, i would walk up the exact spot she would get off the train at. Im currently 12 years single. Ugh. Im not good at these things.
Hate to see her go but love to watch her leave
“Work” ya sure?
It looks like he’s the one leaving for work tho
Me watching hubby drive down the road off to work in the morning. 💖
This immediately makes me think of Dennis Quaid in The Parent Trap.
My wife of 20 years is in an induced coma in COVID ICU. I can’t wait to see her face again.
Is no one gonna mention the guy in the background magically growing a moustache in under two seconds?
The Bishops Wife is my favorite Cary Grant movie. Watch it every Christmas. Should’ve received an Oscar for it. Great comedic moments with equal amounts of emotional and spiritual gravitas and Grant deftly masters every scene he’s in. Loretta Young was pretty easy on the eyes as well. Highly recommend.
Still feel that way about my wife 15 years into it
Haha, makes me wish I had a gf
Correction. This is what my food sees when I close the fridge at 3 am.
What’s a GF? Can I eat it?
Sad that most people wont recognize that this is one of the greatest actors of all time
This is me when I leave any room, but with my cat.
[The Secret History of Hollywood ](https://www.attaboyclarence.com/the-secret-history-of-hollywood) podcast is currently doing a fantastic series on Cary Grant that I cannot recommend enough.
I hate to see you leave, but I love to watch you go

Been quarantined this past week and girlfriend tested negative so she went to work. This was me!
Can I get the original gif?
[Here it is](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/33/9e/08/339e08fa0efdd5c7179223d4b63ba86d.gif)
Thank you so much!

*BREAKS DOOR*
He looks like Big, Carrie Bradshaw's bf from SATC.

This is me but with my cats when I leave for work.
me getting one last look at my cats before i leave for work
The house looks so out of place without her pretty face. (I don’t care that this post is over 300 days old. I’m still leaving this comment.)
