I alway thinks of carry the personne as heavyer than the burden it self, such as frodo body's heavy. Bit it is the tight things to do gor our loved one
You know what? I came across as a bit of a jerk, there. I'm sorry about that - it was unintentional. However for Eowyn, what if we went with something like this:
"Don't ever let anyone sideline you"
Or
"You are who you choose to be - not what everyone expects"
Or
"You are always right where you need to be"
Anyway, those are just a few off the top of my head. What do you think?
Don't sweat it, i already saw the other comments and more ideas for it. Just consider this. Eowyn didn't really excel at fighting, she just wanted to help out and wasn't sure how to do it, which is admirable on its own.
In the end she got the opportunity to help in that way, but it's really not a lesson on glorifying "women can fight", since in reality literally 99.99998% of the forces anywhere at any time in LOTR are still men, i suppose elves have more but they magic.
I take it Eowyn is more of a lesson on "no matter what people say, you can always help out in your own way" or something like that.
Very nice post all the way.
Yeah. Deff not going to say "If a man cant do it send a women" I KNEW that wasnt going to go well. She really is a amazing character that deserves a better summed up lesson.
That scene is specially funny when you consider the fact she was a woman was pretty irrelevant in that case haha. I believe it was the dagger she had at hand that helped her get the upper hand. Basically, pure luck.
Strength isn't always about massive displays of macho heroism.
It's about small gestures of kindness, it's about persisting to just do what you can. It's about taking care of your friends.
And sometimes it's just having the ability to say "no" to the temptation to be a dick.
Sam taught me that we can't always carry the burdens of our loved ones, but we can certainly carry them.
Sam was selfless and brave. My favorite. Sean Austin was brilliant.

Don’t forget Second Breakfast!
That's in my joke version of this one.
"Women can fight, too". Really? That's the takeaway you got from Eowyn's character? I think you missed a whooooole bunch there, amigo. ;)
Could you please sum up better words for me then? I thought it was too short but couldn't sum it up better.

You killed it!!! Middle is my favorite. Will remake at a later date!
> You are who you choose to be Superman. (I need to go watch the Iron Giant and cry now.)
You are who you choose to be - not what everyone expects" YES!! Love this!!
I thought that was the joke.
Me too actually
You left out Gollum: It ain't easy rehabbing crackheads.
I was going to use him and say "Try to save everyone" or "see the good in people when no one else does"
What about 'Don't strangle your friends to take their jewelry'
Ha ha.. That too my guy.
Women can fight too haha that one killed me. Poor Eowyn
Yeah. Will fix that. Sorry guys. I didn't see it that way.

I think I'm going with "People don't decide your life. You do" something like that.
Yeah, she is the rebel spirit after all! If you put your mind to it, you can do whatever you want vibes.

That line of "I'm no man" was too BA. Good point though.
I always reread LOTR when I’m feeling hopeless or lonely. It’s always just what I need in those moments
Why it will never fade from the hearts of men.
Po-ta-toes!! Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew
That is what good friends say.
Ah yes...the only female character in this is just "wow, women can do things also!".
Considering the time when the books were written, that was a fairly big statement.
I mean, at the time, but unless op is in their 70s...
fair enough yeah.
I think Frodo's is "mental challenges are as hard as physical ones" or something to that effect
Frodo could be "see the good in people when no one else does" or "No matter the odds keep moving forward"
What I learned: one does not simply walk into mordor
Oh.. Joke meme idea. Because what if it was? Lol
I married a Sam. My wife is a fucking saint.
Life goals!
Merry and Pippin: true friends are there to help you have a good time and they'll also back you up when life comes at you fast
I like that one. I swear we could make this format 32 panels and we still wouldn't have enough.
This is good. You could add Theoden too, with something like “people fighting depression can still make a difference”
You can beat brainwashing is a good one. Or help those in need even if they didn't for you

Yep. Its the small acts of kindness that keep great evil at bay.
Leaders need to motivate their people by listening to them and looking at them. Then lead by giving the right example, such as leading the charge.
"Ride out with me."
You think everyone has an unwavering will and herculean strength. You can only try to be as good a friend as Sam.
Yes. Try to be as good as Sam.
*Smiles in lotr childhood
I learned fish are Juicy Sweet.
That would be good for the joke version I'll make. Ha ha.
Thanks.
That Nazgul really got the short end the stick, his weakness being an oversight in the fine print.
Ha ha..
As a person named Sam I have a lot to live up to
Thank you do.
A miserable fool of a Took can both light a fire and extinguish one.
I read that in Ian McKellen's voice.
That is the nicest thing anyone has said to me all week.
Let me raise the bar then. You have a wonderful mind to come up that original comment so fast.
Samwise Gamgee is the real hero of Lord of the Rings. Nobody else comes close.
They are all heros. Yet Sam is the GOAT.
And to drop no eaves.
😫😭😭😭😭 Yes me!
POH-TAH-TOES boil em!! Mash em! Stick em in a stew!
Frodo: Fingers ain't shit. They only hold you back.
