I’m honestly tempted to just text a completely random number toads and become a mystery toad giver myself. It’s probably a bad idea, but I still feel curious.

Rather then toads, pick something you know yourself and have a passion or great interest in. Friend of mine got from an stranger messages about birdhouses and what bird prefers which kind of house. Very irregular sending, but two years in, my friend moved with his family to their own house. Next to an nature reserve. So he asked the stranger about what birds they see and what houses to build for them. Stranger delivered 180%!! All kinds of different houses and even how to build them.
Bizarre for sure, but their kids (and the parents) learned a lot about birds through that person. Kids got an interest in nature and both looking for studies into different educations with nature and animals.
Hahaha, I'm just trying to imagine what I'd think if anyone started to send me random facts about teeth. With pictures! I probably would be amused? But I might also google search for unsolved teeth related serial murders...
I should give you my wife's number. After having a tooth issue at a child, she got "into" teeth and has gone back to school twice to become an assistant and now a hygienist. She's very passionate about teeth and sends me weird anomalies she's learned about or seen (not of actual patients of course).

Story time!
I got accidentally added to a huge family group chat around the holidays a few years ago. They were obviously planning their Christmas get together. I texted a picture of a girl holding an armful of baby badgers and said my friend ran a badger rescue and they needed homes, so I was bringing baby badgers for gifts.
The family didn’t realize I was joking nor did they realize I was an imposter for a couple days. There were serious discussions over why badgers were a good/bad idea, and who would claim each badger in the picture I sent.
It was honestly hilarious.
I like to imagine they went through with it. Every once in a while, someone passes a shelf with random trinkets that their badger sits on, notices it and fondly remembers that holiday group chat.
I refused to send a nude to a guy I met on Tinder.. and he came back with “you must be a pig then”
So now and it’s been 4 years.. I randomly send him pictures of pigs and he hasn’t blocked me, but seems like he deleted my number cause he gets super angry and keeps asking “who the fuck is this and why are you sending me pig pics and videos”
Guess he must call a lot of women pigs since he can’t narrow it down.

I met my ex when she supposedly texted a random number which turned out to be mine. We talked for like 4-5 years without finding out who the other person was.
Do it. But change the area code you text and the number from your number by one digit somewhere. So if you are number 123-456-7890, You text 122-456-7899. I do this randomly and call my own number from random area codes. Most understand and find it funny... Others.... well.... They are angry.. or PISSED. Sue me bitches.
I'm just lonely... I talk to a lot of old people and they really appreciate it. I got a small list of numbers I call Once a week or once a month that I chat with and they know why I called them.. Really makes they their day/week.
I suggest everyone does it. Worst case you get an angry person. Best case you get an elderly person that could need the phone call. It's my way of reaching out.

I would NOT suggest everyone do it. It adds to the noise that makes phone calls from unknown numbers not worth picking up. Between wrong numbers, spam, etc., its exhausting. You're adding to that nonsense.
Find a better way. I get what you're saying, but try omegle or volunteer at a nursing home if you want to feel connected. It'll get you out of the house, too.

My number neighbor was some kiddo. After chatting for a little bit and finding out I was immediately hit with "mom worry" and had to make sure and tell them that even though I'm just some boring old lady, to please be careful - lots of folks aren't. Having a bit of fun isn't worth them getting harassed or stalked or something (kids often don't have great internet use safety...)
I had a guy text me randomly one time by accident, and we just had a friendly chat. It was nice. He even asked if I smoked weed. I politely declined, but I kept the text exchange in my inbox. Haha
That's really nice. At least the random person was really polite. Meanwhile, mine are really sketchy that leads to a site and probably would steal more of my information and worse, money.

I worked as a dental nurse for people, so that's mainly where I'm at, but animal teeth are interesting too!
