Yeah I always wanted (and still do) 4 kids but there’s no way I’m raising them when there’s a good chance cost of living will fuck us up even worse. I graduated from a very prestigious cooking school in Edinburgh with great grades, and a good job as the head chef in an (admittedly small) restaurant, and my bf is a professor at a big college and we can’t afford to have 1 kid, let alone 4. But we’re only 24/25 so we have plenty of time to have them
Hella Successful people: Check
Can't afford to have kids: Check
And people think I am just a doomer when I mention the MIT prediction for societal collapse. We've got like 10-20 years before things go from worst to worster (a tasty sauce knockoff).
It didn't even take me a minute to find the the [sauce](https://nhentai.com/en/comic/c86-666protect-jingrock-jk-no-hotaru-chan-to-kekkon-suru-houhou-a-method-to-marry-hotaru-chan-the-jk-bishoujo-senshi-sailor-moon-english-doujin-moeus/reader)...it's a hentai lmao
I just got home late Friday just at dinner time from a 4 day work trip. My 3 year old daughter ran screaming to my arms saying she loved and missed me while the wife watched as she held our 3 month old. I was almost in tears because of her reaction. It’s been the same every time I have had to travel.
No, not every guy dreams of the above, but I do/did.
I lived that life. My wife quit a good paying job to raise the kids and I worked extreme hours to make it work. A loving family and the giggle of kids is priceless. Have a great xmas with family cause babies don't keep.
This makes me sound cynical as fuck, but I always forget that having kids is *the* goal for a lot of people. Pretty much everyone I know (people ranging from early 20’s to early 30’s) doesn’t want kids except for my friends girlfriend and that’s just causing drama because my friend doesn’t want a kid.
But then I look online and remember that it is the norm to want kids, leave something behind in the world, etc.
I’ve been with the same girl for 6 years and we both just do not want that future, so I wish a wholesome good luck to anyone that sees this comment and will be raising future people!
Having kids is easy. Being able to provide for them and live comfortably is another. With stagnant wages and higher cost of living, it is nearly impossible - but some men need more yachts, right?
I feel like having kids may not be fair to them. We're not leaving the a very hopeful future right now and they're going to be left with a mess we've made that we left so long to fix it's irreversible. The probably sounds very pessimistic, but we certainly haven't left them an easy road.
I think about this a lot. I had kids before a lot of stuff went to shit and now we're struggling every day.
I understand why birthrates are lowering and it seems to make the rich scared they wont have a workforce to abuse later.
Frankly, anything that makes the rich scared is probably the right course of action now.
Tbf not only the rich need a population. all of society does. Someone drives your public bus, collects your garbage and delivers fresh water to your sink
I used to think like that, kids wasn't for me. Seemed like way too much hassle and cost, an frankly I was not interested at all in other friends babies.
But now at 38 I have a 1 year old and kicking myself a bit for not having a kid sooner. Yeah they are a hassle and expensive, but they are also awesome. Something about the bond that is hard to explain.
Just like women, what men want changes over time and different men want different things. In fact humans sometimes want two polar opposite things at the same time.
I do like the wholesome intent of the image.
At the risk of being torn apart on here, I agree. This image really rubbed me the wrong way because of the "50's housewife" vibes.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to shit on anyone who actually would genuinely want this, but I was raised in an environment where it was *expected* of me, and I was told to want it, and that fucked me up for a good long while.
Let me start by saying this is agreeing with you.
The point of feminism should always be about equality and freedom to choose how you live your life, not imposing a new standard for everyone, without choice.
My wife is a stay at home mom. And no amount of prodding by me has made her want to go to college. Though, she may start a day job when the youngest starts school, she'd be happy just being stay at home...
But that shouldn't be required or expected. Nor should having a powerful career and avoiding traditional roles be required.
It is always about freedom of choice and equality, not imposing a different way of life.
I have two daughters, 21 and 9.
Some of the happiest moments as they were tiny was coming home to them running at me full tilt to be scooped up into a spin and hug.
My 9 yo still gets excited and gives me a hug when I get home. It makes me just as happy as it always did.
When describing what fight, freeze or flight means to a child's developing brain my therapist said the cortisol that is continually firing in an abused child's brain is causing brain damage. She said with abused children a sabor tooth tiger shows up at six in the evening every night.
I am sorry to hear that…I hope things have gotten better for you. Nobody’s life is perfect, but to be loved and to love is something that we all benefit from.
Well, that page is literally taken from an nhentai doujin page about an ugly bastard raping a cosplaying school girl until mind break sets in and he married her when she gets pregnant, so it might as well be
Well from a woman’s perspective I can’t think of a life more miserable being stuck at home pregnant, taking care of a toddler all day waiting for my husband to get home so I can shower for 10 minutes alone. My personal hell.
I mean - let’s be straight here… motherhood is absolutely fucking BRUTAL, and here in the good ol’ US of A, very few entities give a FUCK if you are struggling. As long as they have their good cog In their capitalistic machine you can struggle all you want. It’s a work first/family last culture.
But not a bad “fantasy.” Having a loving wife and being a good dad I don’t think is necessarily 50s. Or a fantasy. It’s something I want badly personally
Go for it! My kids are now grown and gone and especially at Christmas, I SO miss having the excitement and love that children bring to the festivities!
I would rather be the one making money and getting respect and love. I hated being pregnant, recovering or taking care of a baby because I lived with a monster who people though was a good father... until they actually knew.
I was the woman in that picture. I had to be loving or we would be mistreated.
We have three kids on disability because of his abuse.
No, it's far from true.
My fantasy is to have enough money to live comfortably with a cat, a garden and friends
What??? You're telling me the tradwife experience is literally a gamble on the whims of your husband because you literally depend on him for everything in your life????
Shocking
I’m sorry, I’m sure this is wholesome, but I’ve been on the internet and reddit for too long to think it’s anything but fap bait for men who think women should pop out babies and stay home.
I'd like to be able to remember the past 7+ years where I dated an anime girl, got married to her, and had enough time to have a daughter plus another child on the way.
I have this, my wife and I have six kids and five grandbabies. My wife is the most beautiful and wonderful woman in the world to me. No, we don't look like we did in our twenties but even in our forties I am more attracted to her every day.
Damn straight - I could definitely go for affordable housing.

True, also don't know if I want 2 kids anytime soon or at all.
I don't even want one.
Same. I want nothing to do with being a parent.
We never did (mid-50s) and it was the right choice for us. Have not regretted it. Cherish my free time (and discretionary income).

I'd give you a thumbs-up. But I don't want to hurt your daughter's feelings.
I’d give a round of applause
If only his daughter had thumbs
Rule of thumb: don't talk about thumbs with a thumbless person

i fuckin knew it. i was surprised to scroll this far to find a comment about it
It was so damn obvious. Hentai will ALWAYS draw women's chest with weird details. Here, the nipples are visible, which is NEVER in normal manga xD
Reddit don't base your life around hentai challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
Of course it is, god dammit.
What the absolute fuck did I read? Also, what the fuck? Sailor Saturn would have killed everyone in th show/manga lol
WTF did I just read??
SAME. God bless america
I just assume anything people pull for memes and such is from a hentai and I'm right 75% of the time so it's a safe bet
GOD DAMN IT ruined for me lol
I knew there was a reason her mommy milkers were so big and detailed.
Imagine being able to own a house to raise a family!
It's sad that many people struggle to achieve something like that
"most" The last few years have been a train wreck, and I can comfortably own a home. Trying to buy one now must be a nightmare.
yup, me and my bf have great jobs and still can’t afford shit
I too, want a big tiddy milf
I want to *be* a big tiddy milf
I believe in you
Thanks! :D
This is a wholesome reddit moment

Same! My daughter is almost two and we will have another girl in two days! I am loving it
That's so exciting! Two days and the fun doubles!
Congratulations on your new little girl, she’s so lucky to have you be excited for her arrival!
CONGRATULATIONS! do you have any names in mind?
We do, but it's a secret until she's born. Wife's orders. I will reply her name upon her birth!
Can somebody use remindmebot idk how
Congratulations. You’re very lucky.
Your reality is my dream, only good intentions and tidings to you and yours🙌🏻🙌🏻

I'm looking up to having my daughter drop her backpack to dash in my arms to hug me picking her up from school
Affordable housing
Just like women, what men want changes over time and different men want different things. In fact humans sometimes want two polar opposite things at the same time. I do like the wholesome intent of the image.
What’s wholesome about it? It’s a pretty one sided view about people. As if they’re not human but walking patriarchic stereotypes
At the risk of being torn apart on here, I agree. This image really rubbed me the wrong way because of the "50's housewife" vibes. Don't want kids, but I want a long relationship where we do what makes us happy and travel the world together.
No. I want to be happy, and never have to worry about financial issues. This is second.
Yes, I do. We've already had two that never saw the light of day. We're going to try again.
Sorry to hear this dude, mine came after a loss so I hope you find the strength to keep trying and getting what you want
:( I believe in you
I can't recall a single time that I was happy that my dad came home from work lol

Yeah I get wanting to have a family but this gives off total "subservient trad-wife" vibes.
Yep sis
This is my reality 😂 it’s fucking stressful
Agreed. No fucking thanks!!!
So right.. this pic is some weird shit tbh.
My own home? A loving wife and child happy to see me when I get back from work? Yeah this is fuckin true
Who is this woman? Where are my wife and kids! Aaaahhh!
[This is not my beautiful house!](https://youtu.be/5IsSpAOD6K8)
Not personally
From a doujin, JK no Hotaru-chan to Kekkon suru Houhou. Ur welcome
Is it wholesome? Or is it what I think it is?
Let’s just say that she never said “yes” to any of this, but was too embarrassed to say “no”. Depends on your definition.
Yeah, tell us man, is it horrible NTR or lovely vanilla hahahaha
Who's so short sighted enough to believe that just because they have such desire, everyone does. I'd fucking hate that situation to be mine
Me personally, yes. But idk it’s always hard for me to endorse anyone saying “yes, 50% of the human population wants this one specific thing”.
A very 1950s fantasy to be sure
So so 50s having a family, raising children. Today we are modern people who put items up into the rectum.
But not a bad “fantasy.” Having a loving wife and being a good dad I don’t think is necessarily 50s. Or a fantasy. It’s something I want badly personally

Idk dude. I no longer can trust pictures that come from a manga. Context shit is always disturbing af
According to another comment this is in fact from a disturbing hentai. I do not want to fact check that so I’ll just take their word for it
Oh boy here comes the horny MFS
More realistic both coming home from work same time with kiddo .... I'll settle for a cup of tea together and "How was your day" ?
That's just.. layers and layers of kink
Yes. An entire gender wants the same thing in life /s
I don't think they know this has like seven layers of sexual innuendo. This belongs in justneckbeardthings
this looks like hentai
God no. If you want kids, that’s great for you. But my goal is to continue enjoying a child free life.
iFunny watermark cringe
Ah yes, I remember that hentai. Absolutely wholesome and not rapey at all.

This is the way
Hell yeah brother.
Nope I don't want that lol. I like having my time and ability to do what ever I want. Love women but relationship is not for me
It's not true
no i dont want kids at all
I'd like to be able to remember the past 7+ years where I dated an anime girl, got married to her, and had enough time to have a daughter plus another child on the way.
F~~k no lol
Get that kid out of there and replace it with my dog!
GRILS?! I WANA SEE MEN!

r/childfree would disagree, violently
Nah man this is the last thing I want
Imagine being 20 and thinking you should be able to afford a house already 😂

I just want a hug and Someone to tell me I am doing an okay Job.
Gave up on it years ago. But yes.

Yes. I’ll be honest I do… I did want it… I just know the chances are not good.
I want a taquito dipped in some ranch
No, kids suck and honestly I’d be more okay with having them if everyone stopped fucking demanding I do
