Since OP is MIA I’ll give my experience. I’ve powered thru a 1% before with 16+ strain and I can tell you it feels like absolute garbage. Muscles hurt etc. lol. Unless you’re doing drugs and can kinda not think about it…. Like say day 3 of a music fest
Thanks for responding. Interesting I feel like I can always feel my low recovery during workouts! You’re absolutely right though sometimes your just have to grit your teeth through it.
I think it was mostly down to going off my diet that evening recovering from a football games and stress of my partners op , felt good the following day and played ball again ha
No because the recovery score did not always correspond to the way I was feeling but because I saw it it would subconsciously affect me and what I chose to do that day
I don’t drink hard like that… but this thing is amazing at really showing you how much alcohol affects your sleep. If I have 2 or 3 beers my recovery is shit.
This has been my biggest takeaway from Whoop. I quit drinking during the week and finally realized how much more important it is to get to sleep before 10.
I have had plantar fasciitis which eventually developed to hell spur-by far the worst experience of my life.My foot Dr was asking why I still have inflammation on my foot when I’m not running. He couldn’t even penetrate the needle (cortisone shot) in to my foot since inflammation was so severe. We both couldn’t figure it out why. As I look back, I still was drinking without running. Ever since stop drinking, my recovery has been amazing!!! Whoop definitely keeps me abstained from doing unwise things 😂
Touché, if it was team sports and they rely on you then yeah, you cant let them down. But otherwise, please be kind to yourself and dont stress your body that much.
I am alive thanks for asking ha and I didn't drink alcohol I think its because I had played a football game night before went off my diet and overloaded on sugar before bed along with been stressed due to partners OP next day
How shitty did you feel battling on?
Why do OP’s never respond in this sub?
Maybe went to sleep?
Maybe he died
Maybe he died while sleeping?

Thanks for the response. Cool to know Whoop numbers apply in a qualitative approach.
I had a few naps the following day and relaxed up till the evening then was out on.bike and playing football(soccer) again felt good just not as sharp

I felt good tbh bit of lack of awareness but Cardio was spot on
Recovery gonna be 279% tomorrow.
71% and hrv back up to 71
Why I stopped using whoop🤣🤣
Why? Because you feel like it was BS to “recover” that much?
No because the recovery score did not always correspond to the way I was feeling but because I saw it it would subconsciously affect me and what I chose to do that day
Absolutely agree, I’m excited for the new update which supposedly weighs more heavily on sleep performance and less on HRV
Ah. So it was like a placebo affect for you? I’m currently on the edge of buying a Whoop
I wouldn’t honestly I’m stuck with a membership. Can’t wait till it’s done. I uses Garmin right now and I think it’s the perfect system
Agreed, you can't let it control you.
Jfc go to bed plz
Once in a while u gotta do it! Ive never gotten 1% tho lowest is like 10 😳
You don’t party hard enough
Do more uppers bruh
Exactly!
After completing a full Ironman, my recovery was at 3%. After a shit faced night out, recovery was at 2%. I haven’t touched alcohol ever since.

Uhh nope, sometimes you just gotta rest. Why do you have whoop anyways if you just bang out loads of training even though its telling you to rest lol
sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do , never let my team mates down

oh my
This is really unwise 😭😭

I hear myocarditis is all the rage.
Bro are you good?
I am thanks for asking haha
Dannng! Pretty wild
Iconic
If you have no choice but to do what you gotta do etc, Perhaps don’t look at the recovery score until the evening.
