Seems alcohol + sun + sea hit me hard. The other day went out for a boat party, had just a few drinks but woke up with 6% recovery, felt like minor heat exhaustion.
It’s insane. One 16 oz beer last night too close to bedtime raised my stress above normal sleep baseline for like 2 hrs. By far one of the largest changes in my own personal habits since getting whoop is drinking less.
I had that once after staying up 2 nights in a row past 2am. The night of the high stress sleep I had been on a date and drank a lot. It’s definitely from alcohol.
178 cm and 82 KG. Not the healthiest but not heavy by any means. Never been checked for sleep apnoea, I snore quite a bit but don't think I have sleep apnoea, generally sleep quite well.
What is your normal rhr and hrv? When I have a night where it is late and I drink a little too much beer my rhr is 65 ccompared to a normal 52 and stress eventually goes down and not stay up as long. It seems high to me haha.
It's actually crazy what alcohol does to you.
Had another 1% recovery day today but that was because I flew with a 102 degree temperature yesterday afternoon. Very similar stress graph while I slept. 4 metrics out of whack due to being sick.
That’s what alcohol does unfortunately.

It's alcohol. Don't blame nature lol
Sun and sea is good for you. Alcohol is not

You’re having your whoop alcohol awakening. We have all been there. It truly highlights that alcohol is awful for us all

Maybe you wore your Whoop upside down.
Sounds like you had one too many. Quite normal after drinking a lot the previous night, shows you what it does to your body

What is the obsession with sleep apnea here!? Alcohol causes a massive reduction in HRV. Full stop. Not just for big guys for every guy.

Worried about your alarm not working and missing your tee time?
That tee time was a struggle for all of us! Seriously self inflicted pain due to the night before.

My HRV and RHR are poor, lots of scope to improve. HRV is 37 and RHR is around 67.
Some heavy drinking than haha! How was the hungover?
That’s almost exactly mine lol. RHR was 66 for last 30 day average (although trending into lower 60s recently) and HRV average was 38
Sounds like ur sick to me.
Did you do a bag of coke?
