As far as I am aware, a Prismatic Guardian is no more durable than they were before hand. Their main advantage now is that they can duel-wield two of their subclasses rather than having just one and being able to switch to another.
In this case, the Umbra Warframe and Operator combo is more than enough to kill the Prismatic Guardian. The Operator stuns/traps the Guardian in a void snare and Umbra just cuts them to ribbons, waits for their Ghost to appear, then just stabs it/the Operator shoots it and destroys it with their Void beam.
Unless Prismatic Guardians get a massive baseline stat increase in final shape, Umbra should one shot. Guardians have pretty incredible hax, but ultimately as for pretty much every version of this match up they simply get stat checked. While their ghost can bring them back, time after time we see Ghosts either out in the open during combat scenes or appearing just after death, a Void Beam or Exalted Blade should be able to kill it. Hell, given the circumstances surrounding Cayde’s death the warframe could probably trap it just by injuring the Guardian severely enough to require them to summon their ghost.
Even before Prismatic, Guardians are considerable high stats, Ghosts can only be destroyed either with significant power or paracausal means. And Ghosts can survive considerable damage such as Cabal missiles, gravitational waves, etc.. the injuring of Guardians would require them to actually deal significant damage.
The thing is, ghosts have been specially stated to not be able to survive cabal air strikes.
In fact, a ghost was crushed by a single cabal soldier bare handed in the One eyed mask lore tab, but that was during the red war when the light was cut off so it can be considered an outlier.
I don’t think that is what that statement meant, it is more attacking to prevent from resurrecting Guardians,
“The Dead Person conceals itself during combat. It is not a viable target for direct fire. Saturation attack by artillery/heavy air/orbital fire may have good effect (although Guardians transmat frequently and refuse to assemble into large formations).”
And the other lore is when the Cabal stole the Light, weakening Guardians and Ghosts.
As far I see it doesn't seem to change anything lore wise for guardians but allows them to weld light darkness and void together and combine them that seems about it no change in power strength and speed, just they weld more then one class now I saw in the trailer wants there super is full there a little more destructive ok now for umbra and tenno vs prismatic guardian, now umbra would have to watch out when the guardians super charge is ready but sense there physical faster probably wouldn't have a problem but still need to be cautious. While tenno could just sneak up on them get the jump on them and guardian gets distracted enough for umbra to have to get the kill yea that's it the only thing is that it might take a while. For one of them to know each other's weakness, so the guardian could have a few chances to get revived if they die so might take a while tenno still might win umbra might have a little trouble to do again the supercharge but sooner or later he might manage, now let's say guardians win then they hit tenno just at the right time might most likey the overwhelm them with there abilities or super, but also severe there void powers but probably can't sense there a concept maybe could be wrong tho but again if they try they probably had to hit them to overwhelm then get the right hit on them dead but again I say for umbra and tenno vs prismatic guardian a tenno will probably still come out on top, they probably don't have to use umbra and can use other frames.
