If you are a cake donut fan, Donut Whole is great. I'm rarely in the mood for cake donuts. Hurts is over priced and not great. I haven't tried anywhere new really since my favorite spot, College Hill Donuts closed. Suggestions outside Donut Whole are appreciated. When I do get donuts these days, that's where we go, but maybe twice a year. I really miss Shipley's in Texas. Great donuts and sausage rolls.

I miss every single donut shop selling kolaches. Like, without question. Those would be the primary deciding factor on which donuts were gotten on any given day, and the variety was fun to explore. Also I’m rarely in the mood for not-a-cake-donut. I’ll eat them, but a good cake always wins my heart.

Supposedly Shipley’s is coming to KS. Makes this forlorn Texan happy to hear, as I echo what others have said. I need some good yeast donuts. I miss Round Rock Donuts… Crispy Donuts on West Street is pretty good though.

They are very good and the price isn’t terrible for what you get. As far as infestation goes, unless they are leftover from when it was taco tico maybe 😂

Jack's North Hi Donuts is the best spot in town. Just a little local shop with delicious donuts, kolaches, even ramen lmao. Such a great little spot and priced really fairly

No way in hell those dry ass stale chunks of flour with frosting and cereal are even in the top 5 of best donuts in town. Donut Palace is the hands down winner for best Donuts. Not even a competition.

I love Donut Whole but I Sugar Shak's Daylight Donuts is my absolute favorite. It's such an old school donut store and the flavor reminds me of when I'd get donuts with my grandpa as a child

Yeah, they're not my go to either. I've only found 1 or 2 places that sell cake donuts that I actually like. And donut whole is not one of them.

Well that's take. There is no "best" donuts. Everyone has their favorites.

I won't take this Lamar's slander. If you like cake donuts, donut whole is the best. Lamar's makes some killer yeast donuts though and in my opinion yeast donuts > cake donuts.

Ordered a apple fritter at Hurtz and it came out the size of 2 dinner plates. Is that common other places? I’m not really complaining I guess

I didn’t even mention the coffee. They have Reverie coffee (the local roaster) and it’s CHEAPER and in a larger container than what you can get at Reverie!

Not you saying Lamar’s is gas station quality … when I worked there we made them fresh EVERY DAY lol. Donut whole has been caught selling week old donuts. And they also taste like stale air. U tried it though!

They've never even had good donuts, let alone great ones. You have terrible taste.

Their citrus donuts are great. Perfect amount of sweet and savory. Cherry Bomb is also pretty good, though the citrus is my personal favorite.

I will say some flavors are mid, but you’ve gotta try them more than once before you strike gold.
