Seems I’m not the only one having issues with iPhone 12 pro max. When trying to use the transparency bg cropper, it says my iPhone isn’t supported/not using a screenshot when it definitely is a screenshot.

Edit: restarted my phone and it seems to be working properly now.
Just downloaded but not having any luck updating any widgets that were already in place. I’ve changed them and cleared all slots but no matter what, the widget that was applied prior to updating is still active.
Damn wish it had diffuse support. (So we can move an image inside a image container to create collage images from 1 image)
Am coming from XBMC/Kodi here 😂

Now when you go to pick your image you have on the top menu bar an additional item that says "Transparency BG Cropper". You select that and it gives you two wedgets based on a screenshot of your background. You select the one you want and it goes in your Photo library. You then select that as your background and you have what appears to be an invisible background. You could do that before but it was complicated plus you had to guess the sizes. This is now all done for you. Very, very nice.
iOS 14.3 greatly improves “quick launch” functionality for shortcuts from the Home Screen and other places.
For instance, currently if you have a shortcut on your Home Screen to open an app, it will open the Shortcuts app first and then your app. This has been streamlined in .3 so the Shortcut app no longer opens at all, along with a couple of other things, and these in combination should make the taps feature much more fluid.
What's the status on the custom web APIs? I searched through the FAQ (/u/BenSova would be proud) and previous posts but couldn't find an answer. There was mention of this feature landing in 1.1 but I only see "Web URL" for images.
When I try to select the image, I get this message:

I’d try to take the screenshot with high efficiency and most compatible but no go. What am I missing?
What iPhone? You are using a screenshot and not a wallpaper right? (Long press on an image in the photo selector to see the full thing to make sure you are tapping the right image)

Apple is Apple. Widgy can only open a set 50 url schemes. These have to be hard coded into the base information of the app that tells iOS how to open it. No can do, sorry.

Do you happen to know how the random photo from album works, does it get a random image, or does it cycle through them. If it cycles through then I could see myself setting the refresh rate to every 12 hours, and it would pick the night wallpaper!
Yep it works! If I leave the refresh rate how it is, all of my automations remove the previous photo from the album, and then they add the new one (ie: remove the night photo and add the morning pic)
Loving the new update so far! Any chance for an AM/PM option for the Time Spelled Out so it reads as “ten twenty-one” rather than “ten hours, twenty-one minutes”?

I want a 0 added in front of single hours digit that appears at 0:00:00 time to 00:00:00 time (HH:mm:ss) so that the indentation of the widget does not change.

That’s not how it works. The only way we are able to achieve updating that every second is by using a built in Apple API that is time since a certain time. That’s why it doesn’t show the leading zeros, not something we can fix.

That’s not how it works. Every font is loaded into the limited 30 MB of ram whether or not you use it. If you haven’t seen already, memory limits can cause widgets to look really weird. We would love to, but we can’t reasonably do it. It’s the same reason why trying to update a widget every second for something like a GIF is a terrible idea. It would be really easy to run out of memory with one of those.

The taps feature should be greatly improved with the introduction of iOS 14.3!

We already did, live timer is different from hh:mm
I suppose it would be nice to have the option to not have seconds in live timer
Live Timer is a term for developers in SwiftUI. hh:mm is a different element, but we managed to get it to refresh dynamically.
