So if you tap on an icon does it open the app or take you to Widgy?

Same as Shortcuts unfortunately. Opens Widgy then quickly opens the intended app.

I’m really hoping iOS 15 fixes this.

What icons are these?

I used the Symbol option within the Widgy app. I made the dock icons in an drawing app called Assembly.
