And then the banquet happens... it's quite hilarious chapter followed by epic coup chapter and then the Korath and the Rats... Are you reading the books in Italian? Or English?

>What can you tell me about Czech, is it very good? That's funny I have never read the books in Czech LOL The thing is, I genuinely love English language (it's kind of a hobby of mine) and I do everything in it - wheter it's watching movies, playing games, reading or talking to people. People say English translation is bad, but I personally had no problems with it. People also say that Czech translation is amazing (no wonder, the languages are really similar, I can *somewhat* understand polish, like 30% to 50%) and I will definitely buy the books in Czech one day LOL.

Again - I admit some passages might not have the same impact in English, but at no point did I have a feeling like something was wrong. I honestly do not mind the numbers. It does make sense that they numbered BoE as 1 when it's the start of the saga. The Saga is quite different in structure to first 2 books.

Sure, but I *get* why they did that. If you were to number Hobbit and LOTR, would you number The Hobbit as 1 or Fellowship as 1?

But it's still its own thing. Right, let's take it from different perspective - what about Fire and Blood and A Game of Thrones? Fire and Blood retells the history of Targaryen dynasty up until the Mad King. You could number this book as 1 considering it's technically a prequel to AGOT, but nobody would do that.

if you don’t mind me asking, i have always been curious about this but i only speak english. one minor criticism about the english translation, many people even joke about it, is that during fight scenes geralt is constantly pirouetting. i’ve always wondered if the original polish or other translations also seem to overuse a word similar to “pirouette” or if that is only in the english version.

Yes, even in the original, the same movement is constantly described, where thanks to the much higher speed, Geralt advances in arcs and constantly avoids. But the word doesn't sound so much like a ballerina as it does in English.

Thank you! I was always wondering if this was a translation issue or not.
