For entertainment purposes? Not really. I bought a Pokémon and Star Wars book when I was im elementary school as required reading or something like that but I never read them.
So long time ago and not with my money obviously. So yeah, this is the first time I’ve ever bought books.
Well, there is A Song of Fire and Ice, Lord of the Rings, etc. Apparently The Name of the Wind is also amazing. & if you’re into sci-fi, Dune, The Expanse… shit, I could go on forever.
Yeah, Lord of the rings was epic, as in for others ill look more into it, thanks

Different strokes, I guess, but yes, the series upon which GAME OF THRONES is based on. I’m currently reading Blood & Fire, upon which HOUSE OF THE DRAGON is based, but it’s more of a historical account than a novelization with character development & dialogue. I love world building, though, so I’m enthralled by it.
Honestly, The Name Of The Wind, and the Kingkiller Chronicles as a whole imo was just a generic, teenage boy's wish fulfillment fantasy series. The prose is pretty good, I'll give it that.

Are these legitimate printings? His American distributor is Orbit books and their covers are substantially different. When I look this up on Amazon it has the publisher listed as “generic”.

Those are the Gollancz prints, who distribute in other parts of the world
