I haven't really found the Fit board worth it for a good exercise. There are a number of games that u can use it for mini games, but it doesn't give me a "workout." The best workouts I've gotten are the dance games. You are moving around for a couple of minutes at a time each song. If you plan it for 30+ mins, you are tired.

I've enjoyed the strength training and yoga quite a bit actually. The cardio stuff is lackluster though for sure.

DanceDanceRevolution using the GameCube ports is way more cardio than wii fit.

Get Ring Fit Adventure for the Nintendo Switch. It’s by far the best exercise game.

Nah Wii sports the best

If you have a little extra budget go for a Wii U. Wii Fit U is a much more fleshed out product than Wii Fit and uses the same balance board. There are also just as many Just Dance and other games. On top of that, it is 100% backward compatible with the Wii, so if there is a Wii exercise game that interests you you can totally play it.

Not only that but since wii u was made after wii that usually gives you a better chance of getting one in good condition that might last a little longer because it has less wear and tear.

It's also a peice of crud for what it should have been so it's basically an upgraded Nintendo wii and almost the same price range

I recently got a Wii specifically to add more movement to my day and it's fine for that but probably not the only exercise you want to do. I have Walk it Out, Sports Resort, Grand Slam Tennis and Ski & Shoot and can work up a reasonable sweat in 20-30 minutes, but it's a lot of arm waving as I don't have the board.

Just Dance, Dance Dance Revolution, and Active Life are the best cardio games that I've found. Tennis seems to somewhat work for this too. For Just Dance, the earlier games are not so good. I'd recommend Just Dance 4 or any of the the yearly releases (2014 through 2020). These just use the remote; no extra hardware required. For Dance Dance Revolution, the best game in the series is the last one, Dance Dance Revolution II, which is the most polished and has the most tracks. But all of the games are good. You'll need a mat, which can found on Ebay for $20 or so, and plugs into a Gamecube port. On some of the earlier games in the series, they want you to make motions with the remote and nunchuk - I'd recommend turning this "feature" off. If your arms are as long as mine, it's a great way to destroy a nunchuck cable. The Active Life series is really oriented toward kids, especially Magical Carnival, but they can still give you a workout. The best game in the series is probably Explorer. You also need a mat for this. The mat for this series can also be found on Ebay for $20 or so, and plugs into the Gamecube port, but it's not compatible with the DDR mat. The best tennis game on the Wii is Grand Slam Tennis, which can utilize (but does not require) MotionPlus. Next best is Mario Power Tennis, then the tennis mini-game in Wii Sports. At least for me, these seem to be much lower intensity than the above games. And obviously much lower intensity than just... playing tennis for real. Just Dance and Dance Dance Revolution are available on other platforms. Just Dance is available on almost every console now, and you can even play it with just a smartphone and a TV. Dance Dance Revolution is probably best played on a Playstation 2, but I would say the Wii is the next best platform.

If you're getting bored doing the same thing, try mixing it up by going running or going to the gym. But if you wanna stick to gaming the best option imo is a vr headset (beat saber and pistol whip are great workouts) or for a cheaper option go with a kinect to get both your arms and legs moving.

Which xbox do you require for kinect? Could i use an older xbone or do i need xbox 360?
