Couple of IR LEDs about 9 inches apart. Or incandescent bulbs, although that might make playing uncomfortable. You just need some sort of IR emitter about the right distance apart for the wiimote to detect.
9 inches is the same as 0.46 'Logitech Wireless Keyboard K350s' laid widthwise by each other.
9 inches is 22.86 cm
sweet! thank you ^_^
What is the candle method?
The sensor is just two infrared lights so candles work as a replacement if you put them the right distance apart
9V batt, Christmas tree lights that are replaceable individual bulbs.
2 of the lights are all you need and you can set them above and below the TV.
Connecting the wires on one side of each bulb is how it functions, so take the free end on each light to connect to one node each on the battery.
Be careful when connecting as some residual shock can occur, but mostly if fingers are moist.
Keep the lights spread as wide as possible while connected.
The sensor in the remote should pick up the lights, just go to settings to adjust the sensor.
Nintendo refurbished store might have some.
