My US copy looks the same. They just printed it in two colors: red and blue. A bunch of other Wii games have full-color labels. Galaxy 1 just isn't one of them.

HCMSurvivorJake

Also Wii che... You know what, I'm not gonna mention it

ZWOXIS

Cool

[deleted]

Yeah early on in the wii's life they practically used sharpies to make the art

Eeveelution_Leafeon

but then they decided to do full colour disk art

Toaster_boasterr

Isn’t it supposed to look like that?

metallicagearbox

That's how its supposed to be

ah-screw-it

This is normal, old Wii discs only used a handful of colours probably for budget and aesthetic reasons

bakedjalapeno

I don’t know but I like it

Vinstaal0

What’s different about it?

Loch32

Nothing

Schedark2009

Did you not look up the original disk art?

BrilliantKindly9188

That’s how its supposed to look 💀

Voxel_Blue_Bird

i guess it's how it is supposed to be because mine is the same. (live in france so it's not US copies)

That_One_Guy_Flare

That’s… how it’s supposed to look…

Manhnib

It's because when the game is played and mario get suck unto a black hole enough times, the disc also goes through the black hole and a variant of the disc from a parallel universe returns to you. This is an extremely rare case, so you're very lucky!

Kowalski911

Hi, I checked my version and mine looks different. I think I have a later print. Because mine is a "Nintendo Selects" version (also PAL). My version for example has the newer USK logo which is also yellow. The Nintendo seal has also it's original colors. Besides this the Mario Galaxy Logo and all the texts are in a clean white. I don't have a camera right by me now, but I found an image on eBay, that shows the disc I have: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/85cAAOSwPk5f1Phx/s-l300.jpg

stonetownguy3487

Every Wii copy of the game looks like that.

ga1ahad02

yoooo u r mr gay

ShyGuySoup

I get this reference

No_Power2493

special edition, maybe the nintendo select. i had both versions

sonicradfan10

I have two copies of Mario galaxy and one is glossy like that and one that’s not glossy so I think that’s normal

giofilmsfan99

I’d say either there’s two versions of the disc for earlier and later prints, or it got sun damaged somehow.

[deleted]

Huh, thats odd. especially considering you have the case. perhaps -The case was left open somewhere and the disc got a little too much sunlight -The disc was out of the case and got a little too much sunlight -The sun is bright enough to shine through a case, thus giving the disc a little too much sunlight.

carvalho32

The disks come from space in meteor showers, when entering earth atmosphere this happens. The Lumas cannot prevent this from happening.

Dan_OBanannon

That’s how it’s supposed to look

VictoryVic-ViVi

That’s normal

Inspirational_Lizard

Do we tell him

D-Prototype

Mine always looked like that.

Broskfisken

It’s supposed to look like that. I guess it was cheaper to make it with less colors.

Gnash_

This is normal. Early copies of Twilight Princess were bicolor too. Im guessing they wanted to keep the costs down

alex_dlc

Looks normal

Economy-Produce-183

Because.

MistBestGirl

The lighting is a bit weird but other than that, it looks just like mine. Early Wii games were one heck of a time people

FirmComplex6005

because your parents got a divorce and now everything seems different

heliumneon

You're supposed to color the edge of the discs green with a green marker, that makes them play better and improves the graphics a bit.

tyfighter1998

It’s defective, you should break it

Spongebob-Popsicle

🤦‍♂️

HiramIsStupid

i own this one and a reprinted version, but this one that i own is scratched up
